the amount of paper izuminokami has wasted would surely incite some scolding from the saniwa. but even if he prided himself on his inherited haiku writing capabilities (which he refused to accept are bad) he could not compose a letter acceptable enough to appeal to actual humans while on a mission.
usually, horikawa would take on that assignment, but alas heād been sent on kiwame training. his other option was kasen, but the sword of elegance was away on his own duties. thus why he was currently standing outside mutsunokamiās rooms; a sword of second generation kanesada heād heard.. like nosada, another sword that would be good on the arts, wasnāt it? still, there was no denying that he had to swallow some of his pride to ask for help on something as trivial as this.

Fortunately, the saniwa does not know how much paper Mukotsu has wasted with his writing attempts. Oh, to be cursed with a hobby but sucking at it. But no matter how much Mukotsu practiced, he never seemed to match the beautiful calligraphy of his former master. Even though the writing was much easier with this new tool "ballpoint pen" (he got it from Fudou Yukimitsu), his script was still questionable at best.
The distraction Izuminokami offered was welcomed. So Mukotsu just quickly cleaned up this pile of papers when he heard his fellow Kanesada's voice. That being said, even if he was busy, he would probably make some time for his kouhai.
