There should be an equivalent to asking "how's the wife and kids?" that's like "so how's that fictional man of yours doing?"

I engage with fiction in a normal way. don’t look at my blog

"I can fix him" not in a "I can make him into a better person" way but in a "if he was my character I would've handled his story better" way

writers be like, i can fix him! *gives him pneumonia* *has him lose a limb* *has him almost drowned* *has him barely avoid execution* here, fixed.

love when stories inflict unspeakable horrors onto a person for no real reason. its not karma. its not payback. its not a lesson. its not your fault. no ones even out to get you in particular. youre not the chosen one or special or anything. it just sorta happened and you were there. sorry man

sometimes I wonder how y'all are obsessed with specific characters and I'm like "why them" but then I remember that sometimes its literally not your choice you just look at them wrong and all of a sudden they're taking up your every thought forever
