âPretty sure you donât get to decide that.â
âThough, Iâm curious - Why do you think so?â
Spare Change |Kai and Jodie
He noticed the pause. Kai was observant. He kind of had to be to keep scrapping by. He also noticed the forced laughter and he wondered if maybe she was a serial killer. He hoped not, because getting murdered would suck and Kit would really not forgive him for that. She had a point about not really being able to hurt anyone, at least. âNot much of a vote of confidence, but Iâll take it.â Maybe she had a past. She probably did, considering where heâd found her. And it wasnât like he was a saint either. âItâs nice to meet you, Jodie.â Nice probably wasnât the right word, given their circumstances, but heâd been raised to be polite and it was a hard habit to break. He nodded at her suggestion, slipping his hands into his jacket to shield them from the cold. âItâs just a couple of blocks away. Not far at all. Though still not close enough, if you ask me.â He led the way, making it to the warehouse as quickly as he could. The cold made him struggle to unlock the door, but soon they were inside and he could practically feel himself thawing. He headed towards the living room and gestured for her to follow. âI know itâs not the most⌠conventional living space, but itâs home and it has heat.â
âDifferent circumstances would have made it even nicerâ she commented though, thinking about it, meeting the other right there and then seemed like one of the best things that could have happened to her since he had come to offer what she desperately needed right now, hopefully rescuing her for the time being. So, correcting herself, she added âBut, actually, maybe youâre timing wasnât all too bad.â Crossing her arms in front of her chest, hoping it would keep some more warmth inside, she followed Kai, every step feeling like it was one too much but the hopeful notion of their destination making it bearable, possible. To be honest, Jodie wasnât sure what to think, when she laid eyes on the warehouse. She had been expected a nice apartment, a small flat or something like that but never once had the thought of what it turned out to be in the end crossed her mind. Not wanting to have any prejudices, the girl still found it rather..suspicious. Because really, who lived in a warehouse? Maybe he was the serial killer after all, luring her in to finish her off. Despite her doubts, nothing could beat the warmth coming from inside, basically forcing her numb, frozen limbs to enter and walk after Kai. âThatâs one way to put it.â she said as she looked around the room. âHow come you live in here?â

mthetiniestflicker:
This was supposed to be an easy job. Wear something sexy, giggle a bit, maybe blushâ get those codes from the guy, no matter what. Of course, nobody expected the building to just explode.
She should have stayed with the bloke. Fake-cry, fake-panic, use the chaos to get those codes, where the hell did he keep them?
She should have stayed there, but then she noticed the kid. Itâs like the rest of the world stopped existing around herâ she jumped, and pushed the child out of the way. She fell, of course, and the wall came down on her leg, but itâs alright, itâs alright, that could have been the child.
She screamed in pain, but everyone seemed to busy with themselves to notice. The kid ran away crying, and she could only hope heâd find his parents on his own. She gritted her teeth and tried her best to get the rock off her leg. It wasnât hard to see the task was impossible. Biotics could have done it, of course, with proper training and if she wasnât panicking.
Then, the rock lifted after all. At first she thought it was her own doing somehow, but the next second a girl was next to her. Did the stranger save her, instead? âDo I look like Iâm alright?â She grabbed the girlâs arm and struggled to her feet. ââHey. Letâs save the thanks for later, okay? Letâs get the fuck out of here.â Her leg hurt like hell, but this wasnât the right place to deal with that.
Since Jodie knew that her question had been a rather stupid one giving the circumstances, she wasnât all too surprised when she got the obvious answer. Thinking that it was more of a rhetorical question that went without replying, she simply helped the struggling girl up, though she wasnât sure if it was a good idea to get her standing yet. However, the other had a point when she said that they should probably get out of here so Jodie didnât protest, simply nodded and said âAlright. But - can you walk?â As much as they needed to get out of there, it would be useless if it caused the stranger to loose too much blood or maybe even to faint due to the pain though Jodie thought that she seemed like someone strong, given the fact that the other had immediately gotten up and didnât seem to be panicking as much as the rest around them. Knowing that she could probably ease the girlâs pain, maybe even completely heal the wound, with Aidenâs help, Jodie was torn between getting out or taking care of it first.Â

He shrugged at the question. âGood Karma and paying back the universe for a favor it once did me.â After all, a stranger offering him a place to stay was how heâd ended up with a roof over his head and with two best friends. It might be good to try to return the favor to someone else. He nodded. âOh, it was definitely serious. I mean, as long as your not a serial killer or something,â he joked, giving her a small smile. Kit was already gonna be grumpy enough about the whole situation, he could only imagine how pissed off the other would be if he managed to bring home a serial killer. Of course, they could probably hold their own against one, but it would still be really inconvenient at the very least. He held out his hand in an offer to help her up. âIâm Kai, by the way.â
âLetâs hope youâre being honestâ Jodie said, though she was too exhausted to doubt him any further. Even though she realized that he had been joking, the strangerâs words unintentionally hit a sore spot, leaving her silent for a moment. After all, killing someone was what had gotten her on the streets in the first place, though she was just following CIAâs orders at the time. Letting out a humorless chuckle eventually, she responded âEven if I was - I doubt I would manage to hurt anyone in my current stateâ before looking at the hand that was offered. Only hesitating shortly, because of the effort it would take to get up and not because she was unsure, Jodie finally took the help, pulling herself up with her remaining strength and the otherâs hand. She hadnât been smiling much lately, didnât have a reason to and yet she managed an appreciative, though short and small smile for the other. âThank you, Kai. Iâm..Jodie.â There was no use in lying, she thought before trying to reassure Aiden, who had been unusually quiet, which worried her. Itâs going to be alright. Weâre going to be alright. Straightening up a bit she said âYou lead the way?â while hoping it wouldnât be all too far.Â

"Uhm, sorry? Could you help me, maybe? I've never been at 'Starbucks' before and I have absolutely no idea what all of those drinks are. Could you recommend anything?"
I was born with a strange gift, the ability to see what no human being has ever seen before. Ever since I was born, Iâve been linked to an entity. His name is Aiden and heâs always with me. Heâs here right now. I see things at night. Terrifying things. I tell myself itâs only nightmares, but⌠I know itâs not true. Itâs what is about to happen. Iâve died twice already. Iâm not afraid of death anymore. [Indie Jodie Holmes RP | Will RP with anyone | OC- & Crossover-Friendly]
ââMhm, yeah. I was totally listening to whatever it was you were saying.â

Kai was walking home for the night. He regretted staying out so late, because it was freezing cold out and he could be at home in bed, underneath a mountain of blankets. But heâd been doing some research at the library and had lost track of time. The only reason he was heading home now was because the place had closed for the night.
He pulled his thin jacket tighter. He ought to invest in a thicker one. It wasnât something heâd put much consideration into before now and he was regretting it. He adjusted his messenger bag when the soft voice reached his ears. He barely heard it, but it caused hi to pause, glance down, and see the woman sitting there.
âNo, sorry.â He never had cash on him. He survived entirely off of embezzlement and credit card fraud, neither of which were conducive to carrying cash. But God, it was so cold out and his heart ached for her. His next sentence tumbled past his lips without fully considering the offer. âBut I have a couch you can crash on to get out of the cold if you want?â She would probably turn him down. He was a stranger offering a place to stay, after all. But he wanted to do something for her. If she said yes, Kit was gonna kill him for bringing someone home without asking.
At first, disappointment washed over her, at least until that was replaced by first surprise and then confusion at the unexpected offer. For her, it seemed too good to be true since it made no sense why an absolute stranger would be nice enough to do such a thing - her previous experiences with otherâs had rather shown her the worldâs cruelty and made her loose faith in plain generosity. âWhatâs in it for you?â she asked, knowing that there had to be some sort of catch. Then again, she started to question herself, what could possibly be worse than freezing to death out here? Whatever his reason was, whatever could happen - was it not worth taking the risk, when there was really, literally nothing she could still loose? And maybe fate did mean well with her this time - maybe all she would find was a nice, warm couch, which sounded like paradise in Jodieâs current situation. Letting out an exhausted breath, her teeth still clattering, she added âThough - If that was a serious offer I donât think I can decline.â
Spare Change | Jodie and Braden
With a bit of a scowl at her words Braden shook his head, pulling a blanket out of his bag and leaning back against the wall with it pulled over him. After a moment he finally decided to talk to her, âIf youâre going to ask people for change you donât ask people like me. Or guys in business suits. You ask the little old men, the little old ladyâs, and the parents who donât have their kids with them.â Why he was telling her this Braden didnât know, but maybe it was because he had been given the same advice years ago. Curling up, blanket pulled up over his shoulder the male mumbled, âEveryone else will ignore you or call the cops.â
Jodie would have been lying if she said she wasnât jealous of the otherâs blanket - but then again, more than the cold it was her empty stomach that troubled her most. Still, at least being warm could have made things better. Thinking that their where done talking, the girl had been about to shift her attention back to the street in front of her when the other spoke up again. Surprised that he was actually giving her some sort of advice Jodie decided to forget about their rather rough start though it had been almost forgotten again already anyway since there were other things to worry about. âThanks, I guess. I- havenât ever done this before. Never planned on doing it, either. But who does, huh?â She let out a humorless chuckle before continuing. âI take it you have some experience yourself?âÂ

Spare Change | Jodie and Braden
Braden hurried, steps quick but strides uneven. He shivered from the cold, jacket clutched tightly around him and bag hidden underneath. Being out here so long he had quickly learned; the less stuff it appears you have the less likely you are to get jumped. So, even though he never stood still in one place, Braden had to slow his strides to readjust the bag underneath.
Normally the male would never be out walking his late, or any time after sun down to be honest, but he had had to ditch some guys following him which had taken him across town.
Braden had passed by what usually was his ally, scowling when he noticed it was full of some not so friendly characters, and kept walking a few more streets until he was stopped by almost a whisper for spare change. Instinctively he clutched his jacket, and in turn his bag, close to himself and scowls at the other. âIf I had any I wouldnât be out here.â The male said simply, Braden made his way down the same ally way she was crowched in front of, huddling down on to the grown near a sewer grate. It was stinky; but at lest it was warm.
At first Jodie was angry - angry at herself for having asked in the first place and even angrier because of the response she had gotten. However, the feeling that had come rushing over her  was almost instantly gone again once the girl realized that she was at a point were even a strong  emotion such as anger was too much to handle because it was simply too exhausting, wasted energy. So holding back a snappy remark, Jodie simply looked after the man and only realized that he seemed to be homeless as well once he let himself down in the ally.  Okay, maybe it hadnât been the best thing of her to ask him for anything but how had she been supposed to know? âSorry. Itâs not like you carry a neon sign making it obvious.â she said, not meaning to be bitchy but simply stating how it was, hoping her words where loud enough to be heard.Â
Solitude | Open Starter
It had been weeks, nearly months, since Jodie had moved into a small hut beyond the forest, near a lake. While the solitude gave her the time and calm she needed in order to sort the chaos in her head and write down the memories she was slowly loosing, it also helped worsen the feeling of utter loneliness and desperation caused by the loss of Aiden. Even though she had always wished for him to dissapear, now that he was actually gone she missed him more than she could bear, which was why she was yet again sitting on her bed, crying over that aching hole inside of her. A knock was it, however, that got her attention and replaced her sadness with confusion for the momentum. Not once had someone found their way out here eversince Jodie occupied the hut and therefore she wondered who would now. The CIA, maybe? Had they finally decided that she was worth capturing again after all? Or Cole, Ryan? Though they didnât know where she was. Deciding that there was only one way to find out, Jodie quickly wiped away the tears, hoping that it wouldnât be too obvious that she had been crying, and made her way to the door, opening it to face whoever stood in front.

It was just another one of those awfully cold winter nights, the wind blowing strongly, making the little snow flakes that were raining down even more unbearable. Was this going to be her life for now on - Sitting on the street, begging, while being hungry, desperate, lost, cold..? No, this couldnât even be called living. Only surviving, if even. This wasnât what she wanted, wasnât how she had planned out her future. In fact, right now she felt like she rather wanted to die than stay alive in this nightmare, this hell. She was stricken, trembling uncontrollably in every limb and she felt that Aiden wasnât doing any better which made things even worse. Looking up, she noticed someone coming down the street, walking into her direction. Here goes nothing, she thought and, right before the person passed her, addressed them.
âE-Excuse me. Do you have any spare change?â
Her voice was quiet, weak. Usually she never would have begged like that but her dignity had long gone, the desperation overweighing. Her teeth clattered as she waited, looking up to face the stranger.
PSA
Alright guys..First of all: Sorry for suddenly disappearing on you. Real life was being a bitch with my final-final exams and other stressful things and thus I was a bit overwhelmed with everything.Â
Now that things have settled down a bit again, I decided to re-activate this account because I really feel like roleplaying again and I love Jodie to death.
However, to make things less stressful for me, I have decided to start at 0. This is why I unfollowed all the blogs I used to follow and deleted all my drafts as well as my posts - it is nothing personal, I just want to start as if this is now a new blog :)
If any of the people I previous Rped with want to start a new thread with me I will most definitely be open for it! - Simply hit my askbox, then :)
I am looking forward to great times. <3
Lots of love Alec

Looking around there was chaos everywhere - People running around, screaming, panicking. Flames burning, the smoke partly clouding oneâs vision. Pieces of the destroyed building lying all over. The explosion had taken everyone by surprise but Jodie was lucky - Except for a few cuts she had mainly stayed unharmed. She had trouble orientating herself in the midst of the nightmare but Jodie knew that all she wanted was to get away from there as quickly as possible. Looking for the easiest route, her eyes fell on a person that was lying not far from her and whoâs foot had apparently been stuck under a big, heavy piece of what used to be part of the building. Everyone else seemed to busy with themselves to notice the struggle and help - now that she had noticed, what was she supposed to do? She felt Aiden stir, urging her to get away but- No. She couldnât do that. She couldnât just leave that person there. Without another thought she started to run towards the person. Aiden, the rock! she thought, urgently. Luckily he obeyed and, with a little struggle on his and a lot of concentration on her part magically moved the rock just enough to set the foot free. Arriving just in front of the stranger she quickly knelt down and, while surveying the foot for a moment and then turning to face the stranger asked ââHey! Are you alright?â Of course that was a rather stupid question, considering the obvious injury but Jodie mainly wanted to know if there was any other damage that had been done.Â
