no matter how hard the show tries, cobra kai will never be able to convince me the relationship between hawk and demetri is purely platonic

I do think that if the writers cared about Demetri at all they could have used the caltech thing as an interesting conclusion to him as a character because he has always been very stubborn and resistant to change so it would have shown him growing from that by choosing the future that wasn’t necessarily the one he had meticulously planned out, however as it stands the whole plotline in p3 just makes him seem really quite gay

LMAOOOO I HAD THIS EXACT THOUGHT bc they could have had him be like “yeah i realized that i only wanted mit because i was too obsessed with following plans that i made when i was a kid and im trying to get over my crippling fear of change” but instead we got “yeah im going to the school that you’re going to because i want to be with you and thats literally it”

great news is that yas and dem finally broke up. bad news is that him and eli keep calling each other brothers as if they aren’t always one moment away from making out
