TWO﹣TONED HEROICS

talk  ??  at that , bakugou is quick to  SCOWL  .  ❛   talk about what  ?   ❜   he almost sounds defensive , glancing away with the same sour look plastered on his face . but it fades , just slightly , when he doesn’t notice anyone other than todoroki around  —  or paying attention .

      Todoroki noticed the scowl, but refrained from actually reacting to it. It wasn’t worth getting hurt over or anything, that’s just how Bakugou’s face USUALLY looked.     ❝ You look so stupid when you make that face. ❞ It was said with a slightly endearing tone, although it was hard to pick up. He wasn’t much for being nice usually.

     all  mornings  start  the  same         an  hour   or  so  spent  to  get  ready   ;   make  up  applied  without  error   ,   hair  styled  with  a  cute  braid  pinned  around  neatly  trimmed  bangs.  perfection…     nothing  less  expected given  this  obsessive  devotion  to  looking  her  best.  a  quick  touch  up  before  she  enters  the  classroom         compact  mirror  circling  around  face  to  ensure  everything  is  in  place   &   just  as  cute  as  when  she  left  the  dorm.  hand  reaches  for  the  door   ,   pushing  it  against  so  that  she  may  enter  ,  bright  smile  gleaming.  characteristic  when  in  view  of  todoroki  (   &   perhaps  others  have  noticed   ).  

     ❛❛ good  morning   ,   todoroki  -  kun   !   did  you  sleep  well   ?  ❜❜   voice  soft   ,   intonation  all  too  polite.  this  niceness  feels  foreign         but  imagined  necessity  demands  emi   feign  reticence.  hands  fold  behind  her  back   ,   swaying  on  heels.  waves  of  charm  radianting  from  every  inch  of  her  being.  hoping  its  enough  to  entice.     ❛❛ you’re  looking  great  today  ,  if  i  might  say  so  ! ❜❜

    Todoroki didn’t pay attention to his classmates, not usually at least. If anything, he took mental notes of their strengths and weaknesses to use again later.  Otherwise, he did not pay attention to them in the slightest, so when Emi popped up next to his desk almost every morning, he didn’t really think anything of it.

&. A GOLDEN OPPORTUNITY —- Ochako never got the chance to spend some time ( alone ) with Todoroki but everything could change today. She waves at Izuku and Tenya as they leave her with the other boy; her heart throbbing with_ excitement_. The schoolgirl wraps her arm around her friend’s as he accepts her offer; dragging** the confused superhero** towards the nearest stores. She can’t believe he’ll be hers ( this simple thought triggers a blush on her cheekbones** )** for the next couple of hours.

Uraraka beams with_ pure happiness_; a gentle but radiant smile rounding up the corner of her mouth. The young woman wants to cement this** budding relationship**; Deku tore down the icy walls around Shouto and she can’t wait to_ discover_ all he has to offer to the world.

    He wished he would have caught what it is he had actually agreed to, but at this point, he was sure it was too late to ask. He figured, if it was anything, he would be able to handle it. How bad could it be, right?
