while it certainly wasn't the strangest place she's found herself, the circumstances are what she finds odd. she shouldn't even be awake, let alone in a new world. she's tentative about doing any exploration at all, which is what tips her off that the fourth wall isn't speaking to her. the almost foreign flutter in her chest tells her that it's missing entirely. she'd grown used to having it narrate for her. her reliance on it was obvious even to her, but she never expected to be so lost without it around. still, she needed to gather information. given that she hasn't gotten any indirect messages, she can be assured this had nothing to do with the star stream either. although... unfortunately, that does mean there's no biyu.

for now, she decided to find someone to talk to. in the absence of any other skills, she can only rely on her words. she just hopes those weren't taken in a similar fashion.

"ah. you're new too, aren't you?" dokja puts on as friendly of a smile as she can, waving at someone who looks just as lost and she feels. "it's a weird place, isn't it?"

"mm?" her head swivels to the stranger beside her. a blessing that she's always been perceptive of her surroundings, or else she may have missed the question entirely.

luuk notes the way she cringes, but he doesn't comment, doesn't even visibly react aside from the warm smile he offers her and the shifting of his posture to something more open, more welcoming, less... lost. confused.
