I kind of miss the impulsivity that certain spaces used to allow. oh you want a hair cut today? hairdresser in the corner can fit you in before her 2 o’clock. tattoo of a cobra… sure leg or arm? even concerts, back when you could go to the box office thirty mins before any show. not saying these things don’t exist at all, but everything feels booked five months in advance and 10x more expensive

Absolutely. I had to wait over two weeks to get my ears pierced. We used to just be walking around the mall and decide to get our ears pierced and bam, 15 minutes later and it was done! (To be clear, I did this very thing but lately had my ears repair bed higher up because those old piercings were very close to the edge of my ear lobes). And to see a concert you have to order online months in advance and pay hundreds. When I was in college, Bon Jovi, REO Speedwagon, Aerosmith and more came to the Hammons Center across campus and we just walked over to get tickets. Everything today is an ordeal and I’m tired
