⾠Handwritten Love Letter ⪠Tyler and Jiwool
It was a cold and dull night and Tyler couldn't take it anymore. Grabbing his black sweater, along with the key to his apartment and his red beanie, the teenager headed out of his home and decided to visit the nearest coffee shop on the block - hoping that the delicious warm chocolate can take his mind off certain things.
Entering the shop with an airy attitude, the lad ignored the overly cheerful female attending to him and raised a hand up to dismiss her help and went straight ahead to the back part of the establishment. Now, Tyler's not the type to be a patron of coffee shops despite his love for caffeine and sweets - just because he finds the said place lifeless, only filled with people who found themselves a new way of wasting their time, or at least it was like that according to him. But another reason why he's not a fan of coffee shops is because it brought back memories, memories he had long suppressed at the back of his mind and deepest part of his heart.
Striding towards the farthest and less crowded part of the establishment, Tyler's eyes widened at the sight right in front of him and if it won't be too much exaggeration on his part, he might even had his mouth hanging open. No, it's not like he witnessed something hideous or mortifying. In fact, what he saw was just a beautiful girl far too busy doodling on her sketchbook to notice his presence.
[I smiled looking down at her drawing on her notebook, few strands falling over her eyes and I immediately tucked them back to it's place, not wanting anything or anyone to bother the girl I have a crush on when she's the most beautiful. Yes, whenever she's far too occupied on her work, that's when my feelings for her are at the highest. Weird, I admit, but what can I do? She's the one my heart's screaming for. I then turned to the blank sheet of paper in front of me and started scribbling some lyrics that I had thought of while staring at her briefly, smiling like a fool for founding the muse to my artistry.]
That memory was exactly the reason why Tyler refused to visit coffee shops again, especially after the day he said his goodbye to her and promised to never appear in front of the exact female who was only a few steps away from him. And as if fate is playing a cruel trick on the stone-hearted boy, they had to meet again at the place where some people (who knew them) might call their love-nest during their childhood days. They weren't a couple or anything, but it sure was not a one-sided love affair since he remembered clearly when he first received her love letter, confessing her admiration for him. But who can take that letter seriously though? They were like 8 at that time and feelings change, but not Tyler's.. though he's not sure about her thoughts of him, he quietly developed fondness to the brave female who dared approach him then.
"Shit! What the hell?!" he yelled all of a sudden, breaking out the silence that filled the shop, making every head turn to his direction. While Tyler was busy reminiscing the past, a waitress clumsily tripped in front of him and spilled coffee right into his white tee. Groaning due to the burning sensation, he grabbed a chair and positioned himself right in front of the female, forgetting the fact who she was in his life. Â Â Â Â
