Sun's confusion about Kajorn freaking out about him wanting to pick Pen-neung's lock is actually priceless
He's like, "Sir, "I'm just picking the lock. Nothing too crazy." And if only Kajorn knew how many doors this boy has literally kicked in. Picking a lock ain't that deep...he's taken deeds to properties. Chill out P'Kajorn, it's just one little ole lock. One little ole breaking and entering, nothing too crazy. Just a normal day for Sun.
PAYBACK (2026) || Toptap Jarukit as Jay Athip Wanitsakitphaisan
I absolutely love @i-need-a-pilot-tho take on this Phob-Tinn scene. I just wanted to add something that particularly caught my attention:
I liked how the series showed how the people Tinn and Phob saw earlier have practically nothing to eat, juxtaposed with a loooong camera shot of the table where a smiling Tinn sits, a table with food for several people, but only two are sitting there. I'm not saying Tinn is a bad person, he immediately picks up on Phob's mood and connects the dots, quickly realizing that this is wrong in this context. It's just that this should have hit him BEFORE he sat down at the table.
And Tinn says he's not powerful enough to solve people's problems, when the solution to one problemβthe hungry people he met earlierβis literally right in front of him! After all, that amount of food on the table would feed him, Phob, and those people! I don't blame Phob and others like him for wanting a revolution, because I can imagine the frustration of hearing people like Tinn throwing up their hands in helplessness and whining that times are hard, that change is difficult, and this, and that, when they themselves are suffering no loss, hunger, or lack of (luxurious) roof over their heads. And Phob says that these people CAN'T WAIT for their situation to improve on its ow, for times to finally miraculously improve themselves.
Tinn has the power to improve the current situation of specific people, right now. And despite his kind heart and empathy, he doesn't see this simple solution, so completely is his mind conditioned by being a member of the royal family and his lack of specific decision-making power. I don't even want to talk about how many people could be helped if the elite cut back on their spending and donated the saved money to help the poorest. Just like in this scene β a more modest meal for Tinn and Phob, the rest of the food purchased for the court going to those who need it. It's THAT simple! But this requires making specific decisions, here and now, without waiting for anyone's permission or better times.
That's why I sat there watching this scene like Phob
And as @i-need-a-pilot-tho mentioned, Tinn is one of "the good royals" and if even he can't think of such easy solutions as sharing food, if all he does is look sad and utter clichΓ©d slogans, then the whole class really needs to go.

Why are you still looking? If youβre uncomfortable seeing people in love then get the hell out of here.
"If you have to choose between death and me, you would choose death without hesitation, right?"
Payback Ep. 10
βpeople on twitter are saying-β i dont care. I dont care I dont care. thatβs why i am on tumblr and not in that joyless blackhole
Now it's time for payback.
Payback | Episode 10
At least, he got the chance to finally say goodbye to them. All these years of grieving and feeling like he was responsible can now be over. They didn't die because of him and he needed to let go of this poison that was staying in his heart.

I'm so glad he survived!
Also, he realized this valuable lesson earlier than anyone else. Revenge isn't really fulfilling in the long-term. He is a true survivor. I hope he will find his happiness in the end.
Oh, fucked up Jay. There's so many reasons you and Sun ended up together and none of them have to do with good mental health.
The most pathetic eyes in the entire world. Sun is so tiny in this moment.
I actually appreciate that Sun is unsatisfied with his revenge. He's achieved what he wanted but his mother and brother are still gone. Revenge is sometimes overrated. But thankfully in his quest he did meet people who love him and want to be a part of his life and at the center of his new found family is a man he can spend the rest of his life with.
The fact that sun said that he didn't really feel happy with his revenge was so revitalizing. Revenge in of itself is such a draining feeling because it will keep your mind focused on that pain and the triggers and that shame in the guilt. It may give you such a quick satisfaction but that feeling fades. And so with sun saying this it shows a lot about his empathy that he has now. Because even when you deal with someone who hurts you seeing another human being suffer automatically triggers just that natural human empathy. It creates that feeling of that guilt and shame or an uneasiness rather than the triumph that you are looking so forward to. Because then again with revenge there is never a really true relief.
Which two-o was a really great example of this because he told sun that the revenge didn't have any impact on him. And if anything it just really cemented for him that living is the most important thing. And everything else that comes after that will just happen because that's life you can't control how other people feel about you or think of you. But you can control your reactions to those things and how you choose to stay true to yourself and help if you can for others.
Sun was able to reclaim his autonomy because he was so hell-bent on his revenge in the beginning. Sunny was literally taking control over his thoughts and his mood. But now, on the other side of that, he can fully take the power immediately away from sunny and give it back to himself. Hence, when Sunny saw him with Jay after he doubled down to sun that he never felt ashamed. This cliche quote that we all hear about living well is the best revenge. And we seen that throughout the whole entire show with pakin in his journey of becoming an artist and the people who doubted him, kajorn who was about to lose everything he's a single dad he really had nothing left to lose. His job was the only thing he had going for him and he was about to have that taken away from him because of Sunny. But he was able to rebuild himself as a manager with amazing sons he adopted who happened to be his artists lol under him. Jay who tragically lost his mom and never got a chance to really fully redeem her until he finally got in the position when he was able to do so.
Really shows how once you really start to live your life again and you meet amazing people, but come into your life, you start to feel more fulfilled. I think with payback here and really homes in about how your healing was never actually dependent on the other person's punishment. When your pay back doesn't fall through the way you had expected it gives you that harsh but liberating realization that true peace comes from changing your relationship with that pain and it starts with forgiving yourself first and foremost. And allowing yourself to be loved to be careful and to give that back on to others. Watching sun and Jay just completely overcome their grief and move on together with such a beautiful moment.
Sun getting his smiling on at his dummyπππ
Toptap and minlee, I don't know if they realize that they have just completely changed the game here it's insane!!? Amazing chemistry from beginning to end. i hope there's more to come, plssss i beg!!!!!!!!!!!?ππ½ππ½ππ½

I don't really think 'revenge self-injury' is any better than suicide in terms of needing psychiatric support in the future. Like... no, no, the doctor is right.
Sun is so right.
You can be right about one thing and wrong about another.
Another reason to appreciate Payback - it's been smoking city over in QL land lately, and it's such a damn relief to have two characters explicitly quit.
