I make no secret that lang is just unabashed turn-ons for me rolled into one-

(originally the pose was mostly referenced off giant bats hanging upside down and I wanted to make the art that too-- but it would make looking at the art / design just actively harder so I spun it around)

-as with the other design stuff I've done, got a whole writeup about my thought process behind designing it on the patty (for all paid members), so check that out if it's of interest

so half of me doing this was to specifically draw all the hot star people for people yes, but half of it was to also just have supplementary refs where possible-- so imagine me doing this and going "oh right polearms are impossible to frame right"

my solution to that is to just make it completely separately- if I had a nickel for every oc with a polearm I've had to separate out a thing to make a ref for, etc etc

my enthusiasm for artfight has starkly plummeted between just the last two years and i wasn't gonna participate anyway independent of the dumb shit they did

having to do backgrounds fr fr for these someone save me- but hey they turned out pretty good

--and i did do something with these- lookadem heehee

I've always been a fan of zygarde in concept not so much execution with the complete form

(P.S. I've since learned that the zygarde forms are based on fenrir, jormungandr, and hel- mm, gets a few more points ig only a little)

took a little while off to just lay off the art brakes for a while and Boy Did I Need That- so any back with my favourite guy

since his conception sketch I've kind of tried to make his nail/claw bitsies like crab pinchers, and for this it was a bit of a speed bump at the start to think of how it'd work for real- but this works out great methinks

talked myself into having a game theory about the whole area zero dealio that the games just left unanswered on purpose, but the long and short of it was Big Cyclizar

gave it a good shake to at least try a little bit to adhere to pokemon design philosophy-- while just having my fun fucking around with it

noticing a sharp decline in lang doodles for a good while now- which is technically a good thing because it means I'm keeping busy with various other things but it does also tragically mean he's naked a lot less now, shame about that ...for u guys who can only see what I post

as a rule I tend to prefer making ocs out of pokemon I've used in any capacity at all (with really only zarl the infernape as an exception, who I made to bridge the gap between blaziken and toxtricity egg groups)

--however, since all things pokemon I've been playing as of late has been Like This- might as well appease the frog gods, the frods
