If flowers can come to life in the dark world does that mean other plants and living things can? Like pets, fungi, EGGS????

Speaking of eggs I haven’t found any eggs or secret rooms in a few chapters

Buries himself back in the ground while still in the coffin

And he still has enough time to let the grass grow on top of the coffin hiding the fact that he was in there

Like listen to this and tell me this doesn’t sound awesome. Seven prisoners destined for execution are saved from their fates by agreeing to serve as knights of the kingdom. Each knight is given a title and a crest that is a permanent reminder of their sin. They quickly gain fame and renown only for it to be stripped away once again after being framed for a horrible and bloody rebellion.

Like that sounds pretty damn cool to me. But then you get into the story and it’s basically, oh evil guy wasn’t evil he was possessed, wait no he got possessed willingly and is evil,wait…, ope another fakeout with absolutely no effect on the story that you couldn’t have possibly predicted, then you have like five different examples of the “they’re actually 4000 yrs old they just look like a kid” trope except one isn’t actually ancient she just gets the memories of about 100 reincarnations after like three seasons of being molested by the main character. Plus one of those characters is in a relationship that basically gets reset to zero a dozen damn times after five different memory wipes and amnesia plots. It’s not even a main part of the story it just doesn’t matter except to reset the tension.

When it can’t work something in naturally it just hand waves it into existence without giving it any thought. (Camelot, the sealed power, Merlin’s limited backstory, retconning the sins to be specifically meant to fight against hell despite almost no one knowing they existed,etc)

Not to mention there’s like four other plots that would be great if they just weren’t attached to this show.

Also they just kind of give up halfway down the sins list so some of the sins are actual character flaws or that signify a real major regret of their life, and the other half is basically just the fantasy equivalent of accidentally robbing a seven eleven or something similar or just being framed.

Wrath- an immortal that destroyed a town in a fit of rage after his girlfriend was killed. This would be fairly interesting if the next thing he did wasn’t grab a baby and threaten to stab a knight if the touched “his woman”. The whole sealed powers was a decent way to get a midseason power boost though I thought.

Greed- a master thief who attempted to steal the waters of immortality before discovering that it kept an entire forest alive. He befriended the guardian of the waters and eventually she willingly gave it to him to save his life dooming the forest and many of its inhabitants. This one I like, its dramatic sad and had plenty of hooks for later on. Also I just like ban in general so I might be a bit biased

Sloth- the brother of the forest guardian. He was imprisoned for abandoning his duties as a king allowing one of his subjects to go on a murder spree. However he had amnesia and was living another life. I’m 50/50 on it. It was honestly a bit of a stretch but still alright-ish . Also I hate how often they just erase his and Diane’s memories

Envy- framed for a murder she tried to stop. This ones definitely the weakest one imo. The people framing her never became important. The fact that giants were hunted was barely touched on, the whole thing just didn’t really have any importance at all. Plus compared to the other sins it just feels so much less heinous

Lust- accused of “doing things” to a princess he was in love with that made her die. This one I just don’t get fully. The truth was that she was sick and dying for months and she died of heart failure. This was like a known thing and they still accuse him just because he was nearby. I do like the newly emotional being discovers love hurts and runs from it trope though. I just wish the backstory worked a bit better.

Pride-he doesn’t really have a sin besides being hated by his family. But he is actively prideful as he is aware of himself being “the pinnacle of all races” so I’ll give it a pass since he embodies it throughout the story instead of just his backstory.

Gluttony- not fully sure. Something about hunger for power and affection. I can’t judge this one because I haven’t seen it explained fully. Or maybe I have and it was just so boring I didn’t notice.
