On Friday, it took three hours forty-two minutes on the phone with Humana just to get our prescription drug coverage reactivated for November and December, 2019. We are over sixty-five.
After our move back to Michigan from Oklahoma, we informed Humana of our new address. On October 5, Humana sent a letter thanking us for informing them of the change. Next, they wrote, "because we told them we had moved" that we were now in "Disenrollment" status effective October 31. Thank you very much.
The telephone ordeal included: long periods of being on hold, sometimes using two phones at a time, speaking to six different Humana reps, beginning with Carmen, all of whom had to start over, and being disconnected three times after providing my information over and over again. The fifth person, Eric, said he could fix it. By the time that call was completed we were still not enrolled for November and December, 2019! Instead, that Ass set us up for Humana coverage commencing January, 2020. Finally, Humana rep #6, Nick got it right. What absolute bullshit. The Humana system is designed to wear people down. It only pissed me off in the extreme. Others, our age or older, may not fare so well.
On top of that, our same Humana prescription drug plan for 2020 has been "renamed" and now doubled in cost. The same plan. The Ridiculous American for profit healthcare system is sick. It needs to be put down. Dysfunctional indeed.
