Rhys stumbled back a step, shooting the android a dirty look. His hand ached painfully, an angry mark on the back of his hand from the earlier cigarette. He swallowed thickly, squaring his shoulders and turning his attention back to Jack with a small nod.
Pandora. Rhys had never set foot on the planet, never wanted to. But he felt there was a good deal more than just his job on the line.
“Y-yes, sir. Of course. When…” Rhys trailed off, eyes dropping to the floor as he took a shuddering breath. “When do we leave..?”
“Immediately. Now get out of my office.” Jack snaps, narrowing his eyes and giving Rhys one last stare before waving him away, and sitting back at his desk. What the younger Hyperion employee was unaware of was that Aegrus was incredibly inhospitable, even for Pandora.
Not Jack’s problem though.
Savuk was gone for the time being, but it was certain that he would be watching them on their mission, whether the others knew about his presence or not. For the time being, Jack’s expression didn’t leave much leeway for time.
