salemwitchtr*als recommended an article (“our holy book”) from the transmisogynistic & otherwise transphobic website gender identity watch; said article stirs transmisogynistic paranoia by casting trans women as invaders of women’s spaces. it appears she later removed said link from her recommendations post after this was pointed out, but did so w/o openly acknowledging its rhetoric… or saying anything to combat transmisogyny.

as further confirmation of transmisogynistic politics: here, salemwitchtri*ls appears in the notes of vl*dtheunfollower, who’s been an open terf for a long time now… this is on vl*d’s post about being a terf on this website. “takes attention away from actual transphobic and hurtful people”

what am i reading. in case you somehow missed it, salemwitchtrials linked to hate speech that framed trans womanhood as inherently harmful to cis women.

had this been unintended on her part, she could have directly addressed it with an apology, explained she had not read the full contents of the page in question, and disowned these views. she did not do any of these things.

if it did not matter to her to apologize for linking to transmisogynistic rhetoric, what does this suggest about how she views & would relate to trans women?

this is before taking into account the fact that she liked the “op is a terf” post pictured here. so, while she declined to address having linked to hate speech directed at trans women, she was entirely comfortable liking a terf’s post making light of concerns about transmisogyny (hmm…. one wonders what conclusions might be drawn from that).

what level of transmisogyny do you think someone needs to reach in order for it to be “actual transphobia”????

actually!!!! recommending transmisogynistic rhetoric, + otherwise signaling one’s approval of content that normalizes transmisogyny, hurts and disrespects trans women!!!!
