I think about Rin finding a sense of balance/peace in having his demonic side unlocked and then instantly feeling guilty for it. Because when it feels Right to have his demonic features/powers, then it just solidifies the fact that he Is a demon, that Shirou lied when he said Rin was just a normal boy. Sure, it was to help him. But when you’re 15 you don’t always understand the true meaning of what your parents say and do and the care they carry for you.

That, and. Rin getting feverish during certain festivals or holidays because of the holy energy and those are some of the times he truly hates his demonic side because for everyone else it’s a time of reprieve and bonding and he’s stuck at home thwarting off a sickness that won’t go away until the festival ends and he just can’t be a normal boy even for a day. :c

#combining two different kinds of religious imagery just like Kato would've wanted #this is kind of what happens when you think about yukio's disordered eating--#being reflective of his warped perspective of strength/rin/himself #it's stupid but I am fascinated by how yukio started to reject rin's cooking more and more as the story progressed #We see rin cook for yukio more than any other character. He learned how to cook FOR yukio bc he wanted him to eat #cooking is an expression of love and support for him. yukio rejecting rin's cooking is yukio rejecting rin's care #And he often does this with the belief that this will make him stronger/more goal-oriented. isolation is yukio's solution to impuissance #to accept rin's help is to admit to his own weakness.
