Seb: I was NOT a frat boy. Frats are cool for straight guys, but most of the guys in the frats at Columbia didn't work very hard.

Seb: Laaaaame.

Seb: I said disregard it!

Seb: Ahh, I see. Well, I'll be sure not to keep you out too late then. Either that or you can just stay at my place. ;)

Seb: That was way creepier than I intended. Please disregard it.

Seb: Hosts?

Seb: Not a super fan, just a fan. My sister liked it when I was growing up, so I watched it with her. And he was alright.

Seb: Why, are you going to turn in to a pumpkin?

Kurt: Sure, sure. You're kidding yourself there, Mr. I know all their names. I'm sure that was your excuse. You don't sound like you'd protest too much. Just alright? Wow, poor Penn.

Seb: We'll see about that. While Chace Crawford is weirdly symmetrical and incredibly hot, something about Ed Westwick is just amazing. And yes, I know their names. I guess it worked out for him, then.

Seb: Fine, fine. Tonight work for you? They're giving me the day off at my internship.

Kurt: You really are a super fan, aren't you? Nothing to remark about Penn? Apparently so.

Seb: I'm still not sure if I believe in it, but then again, I have no experience with the matter. And yeah, Gossip Girl is a guilty pleasure of mine. I agree about Chuck Bass. If my parents would have pushed me in the medicine route, I wouldn't have done it.

Seb: So if you're going out with me, is it a date?

Kurt: You'll come around to the idea eventually. Well, at least we have something to discuss in common. I always thought Nate would be more my type, but hey, there's something undeniably attractive about Chuck. I'm pretty sure he regretted ever agreeing to pre-med to get them off his back. But he's a surgical intern now, so clearly he's got a perchance for it.

Seb: Well, that makes sense. Sometimes things like that happen. And I'm not going to lie, it was my parents. But it wasn't the intense power struggle that things like Gossip Girl give you the impression of. (Yes, I've watched it, don't judge.) While it was their decision at first, I've grown to love the field.

Seb: No, no you won't. All the credit? Come on.

Kurt: I never used to believe in all of that fate mumbo jumbo, but I honestly do now. People fall into the things that they're meant to. Although I prefer to call it a serendipitous happenstance. Like me dropping my glove and ending up with someone who can navigate these crazy streets. Hey, I'm not judging, I shamelessly love Gossip Girl and regularly marathon it. There's something oddly satisfying about Chuck Bass that I can't put my finger on. As long as you love it, then it's all well and good. My ex was pushed into medicine and hated it. But that's another story.

Seb: That's really, really neat, Kurt. I honestly wouldn't have pegged you for the type, but journalism is definitely a cool career in my book, as is writing in general.

Seb: The Spotted Pig. Duh.

Kurt: It was never my idea. I'd always planned to go the hole fashion route. But things change, opportunities happen and things just fall in to place eventually. What made you choose law?

Seb: Oh, wow, I'm really sorry. I had no idea.

Seb: No, not at all. What do you write about? And alright, cool.

Kurt: Don't even, it's fine. It's been a while and I'm fine. So don't start pitying or worrying or feeling bad.

Kurt: I've done a bit of journalism, got a few published novels and I'm trying my hand at playwriting, actually. So, it's a pretty flexible career, to be honest. And I don't have any deadlines right now, which is lucky.

Seb: And you're not anymore?

Seb: Your job is very mysterious. What is it that you do? And okay, how about tomorrow then? Drinks around 8?

Kurt: I would be if they were still around.

Seb: I guess that's true. Luckily I'm quite close with both of my parents, despite how busy they both are all the time.

Seb: When do you leave? I'm free all week.

Kurt: That is lucky. I used to be close to my parents, really close.

Seb: That's a little weird, Kurt. You're lucky I like weird or I'd be running for the hills right about now.

Seb: Well, that's good then. Parents are important things in someone's life, I suppose.

Seb: So when I asked you if you wanted to get a drink earlier, was that a no or?????

Kurt: Damn, maybe you just fumbled my plan.

Kurt: Yeah. Most people don't seem to realise that until it's too late, though.

Seb: We've been talking about serial killers an awful lot since we met. Does that make both of us kind of fucked up? And do I really look that young?

Seb: I'm glad you think so, then.

Kurt: I have an odd fascination and obsession with documentaries about murderers, that's my excuse. And boredom, mostly. No, but these days it's difficult to tell with teenagers trying to look older, and everyone else trying to look younger.

Seb: I meet strangers in bars all the time. What's the difference? Besides, if you were going to kill me, you'd have done it by now. I'm almost twenty three. I look old for my age, I know.

Seb: I mean, it's cool and all, but it's nothing to be jealous about.

Kurt: There's a difference between dragging someone off the street and meeting someone there. Hey, maybe I'm one of these serial killers who takes their time to get to know their victims. You never know. Thank god, you had me worried right there that you were under 21. You don't, not really. I would have guessed around there, actually.

Sebastian: I do hope that's a compliment, then. Well, maybe one day I'll have to take you to a classy bar then. And then we can hit up the club if you're feeling it. How old are you now, if you don't mind me asking?

Sebastian: Don't be.

Kurt: Of course it's a compliment. Now, now, Sebastian, you can't go asking strangers off the street to go to classy bars with you. I could be anyone, you don't know that. I'm nearly twenty four. I know, I know, baby face. How about yourself? I'm assuming you're at least 21?
