On Armand and ''resting''

''Rest'' is the exact same command he used in San Francisco. I have not read all of the books (so correct me if I'm wrong), but I think that this is a command that would be interpreted by the person in the receiving end. Resting looks completely different to everyone and the command is not specific enough.

In Daniel's case, he falls down on the floor, completely unmoving or melts into Armand's embrace, he never makes an attempt to hurt himself. With Alex, however, I think he was actively suicidal, and his way of interpreting the command was by jumping in front of the train. That was his way of resting.

However, I do not think Armand didn't know that he was going to do it, he was probably reading his mind and decided to nudge him. Why? Idk man he's just evil like that and I love him.

All this to say that I don't think Daniel was resisting to commiting suicide back in San Francisco, but that they both had different ways of interpreting the command.
