Here's my submission for Riso Pop's Fire Horse Zine!

This year I want to spend more time making work with my hands, I had a lot of fun painting everything out in ink before scanning it in and cleaning it up!

Introducing my oc named copyright infringement the fire horse (combined comic below)

The second fire horse I painted for my patrons last month!

I wanted them to embody different feelings of fire, so if the other was going to be a golden red I wanted this one to feel smokey and deep.

Today (17th February) officially marks the first day in accordance with the lunar calendar. This year belongs to the Fire Horse! Onwards to some galloping fun facts!🔥🐎💖

Those born under this hardworking and morally-just zodiac sign are said to very warmhearted and independant. Tenacious and energetic, yet agreeable when needed, Horses rarely accept defeat when they are fighting for a cause they believe in. ✨️

Fire Horses in particular are charismatic, lively and charming. However at times they may be incredibly stubborn, as they dislike being reigned in. 🐴

I included a gif of my process this year cause one of my friends thought the progression looked cool, hehe. 💖

There finished the year of the horse art both fleshed and skeletal sides. Had to go back over the fleshed side since i wanted it to be close enough in style to the cave art.

Lunar new year is coming up so I drew this based on the beautiful fat horse sculpture in nanjing
