For the third consecutive year, we are running the MT comfest! With new prompts, fresh out of the oven, we cannot wait to see what you'll offer the world! This fest is meant to provide comfort and a sense of community to those who might have a hard time during the holidays, and those who want to spread warmth during this time! Thank you @basicallyahedgehog for your beautiful graphics.

This is a very informal fest, so there is no hard deadline and you don’t have to sign up– all you have to do is create your work, and then post it into the collection once it’s open! The rules are the same as last year– above all, we ask for respect and kindness in both creating and interacting with this fest. Your creation must also have a positive tone, be an HP work, be thoroughly tagged, and contain at least one trans character. Works can be mature or explicit as long as they are tagged appropriately and the creator is over 18. You do not have to be part of the server to participate, though we’d love for you to join!

You can produce whatever you feel comfortable with, whether it be a drabble, a long one-shot, a doodle, a time-consuming fanart, a podfic, a collage, a fic-bind, a headcanon post… whatever you want!

The fest will run for three days and we are providing prompts for inspiration, but feel free to pick and choose or completely ignore them if you have other ideas! The collection will be opened closer to the date of publishing. In the meantime, feel free to check out the great works from last year’s fest!

You might have peeked two sets of prompts earlier on this post. For extra spiciness, we got you another entire new set of prompts! We have the regular prompts, and same as last year, they can be combined or used on their own. Then you have the dual prompts, who go together and don't bear really well to be separeted. Have fun!

HJP Week 2023 - Day Four

There was a fairly unanimous vote towards a prompt-a-day fest for August in the last post! So, what does that mean?

1. Each day of August, there will be three prompts. One will be a pairing, one will be a location, and one will be an item/activity. (Everyone go thank torino10154  for the suggestion! :D) 

 2. You do not have to participate every single day in order to use the prompts. If you just have time to do one day, that’s fine. If you want to do every one, that’s fine. If you want to pop in and out as you can, that’s also fine. It is not necessary to stress about this, because no one is judging you on how much you can participate.

3. The pairing for each day is OPTIONAL. I have all of the canon pairs in there, but there aren’t any for the next gen kids beyond Victoire. So, I have added in some common pairs and some rare pairs for them, Fred, and Charlie. Some of the characters have been repeated, and I’ve tried to have a pairing option for everyone’s taste.

4. If you don’t use the pairing, then you have to use one or both of the other prompts.

5. Each entry must be posted to the Ao3 collection that will be created closer to the day. This is not an exclusive fest: there is no restriction on where else you can post to. The only mandatory thing is to post to the Ao3. The comms are always open for posting, so you can link your entry in them if you want. For tumblr, I think I will try to do a hashtag that the WJ account can reblog from. I’m hoping to catch them all over there, but we will see.

6. No AI entries! Everything you submit must be done yourself.
