vintage goods & furniture PSA: oil yer damn wood! I can't tell you how many times I've gotten a not-so-great looking lamp/bowl/table and brought it back to its original glory with plain old mineral oil. Just work it in let it work its moisturizing magic. This three foot carved elephant sculpture was looking pretty rough when I got it from an "antiques & weird stuff" sale this weekend, but look at them now! Beautiful babies that I really don't want to part with. (plus some pottery that will be making its way into the shop whenever the sun cooperates)

Arts of the Eskimo. Prints, 1974. A collection of full color prints from Inuit print makers in the late 1950’s - early 1970s. An incredible catalog, complete with bios of each artist and detailed descriptions of each piece.
