Yoshimi let out a pensive sound, a soft little hum passing through his slightly parted lips. It was not as easy to offer Arjun advice for a situation he was not quite familiar with. Not often he was one to mingle with group of immortals, thus his opinions could not be made based off on his experience.Â
Before he could offer his response, however, Arjunâs statement drew a sympathetic smile from his lips, and he was quick to dismiss his concerns with a light shake of his head and by resting his palm on his cheek, his thumb idly stroking the cool skin beneath.Â
âI am not one to offer judgments,â he said calmly, reasoning with patience. His dark eyes were serene, twin pools of an obsidian riverbed. âBut I would hardly find them disagreeable. Japanese bath houses follow a different policy, however. They are meant to soothe the tiredness of the body and mind. Therefore, I was wondering if a private oasis would attend to your desires in a more efficient manner? It would make a place for respite but for recreation as well, as you mentioned. Although, the difference, I believe, wouldnât be that significant.â Yoshimi fell silent for a moment, his fingers withdrawing from the manâs face. âYour eyes were particularly melancholic,â he mentioned quietly then, and the smile on his lips mimicked the sentiment. âBut I had no desire to pry in the private matters of your heart. I own no right,â he let out a contemplative sigh, his demeanor delicately brightening up. âI am satisfied enough with simply offering you a pleasant distraction from them.â
âI have been private all my life.â Arjun said. âI would like to be open now, easily accessed. I have always preferred excess, in all forms. I should not deny myself these pleasures. Someone has to remain a constant in this world, and it might as well be me.â His humor was hard-won and ill-rooted. Perhaps Yoshimiâs quiet assessment had struck a nerve with him, pricked at some hidden pride, but he did not grow callous with his young lover for it. His smile was gentle, lenient.Â
âYou notice so much and say so little.â Arjun hummed as he finally tightened his grip on the other man again to pull him back in, flush against his chest. âStill I must thank you. You were a comfort to me from the night we met. Your company eases my old heart. And whatever else there is at work within me, it neednât concern us. It would only detract from the pleasure we share. And where my venture is concerned... I will go on ahead, no doubt, as I best see fit, but I value your thoughts on the matter. I have a practical mind but no experience. I would care to hear what you have to say once the building process begins.--For now, let me look at you.â His hand finally came back up to rest against Yoshimiâs jaw, his fingers aligning elegantly with the curve of it. A smile began to bud in his eyes the longer he let his gaze rest on the other.Â
âDo you think you have some time for me tonight?â
