Sounds of movement, a few doors ahead. It didn't sound like any of the demons or ghouls they had seen before, though.
The noises were faint, but it sounded like a struggle was going on. Muffled sounds of pleading, screaming, then a yelp. Cackling. The sound of something heavy landing on a carpeted floor.
Someone was in trouble.
-[ oh jeez. Another new thing. ]
-[ well, that..sounded a lot like someone was getting uhh… mauled or something. By what, they don’t know, but they should at least try to help out, maybe distract whatever entity it was? ]
-[ so they break ly caught their breath and scampered down the hallway before skidding to a halt where the sound was from. ]
Blood. Everywhere.
The carpet was soaked.
A giggle, a muffled thunk, followed by a pained yelp. Then, chains rattling, fading away to silence, just before the tourist turned around a bend.
In the corner close to the next door, there was a short vanta-black shape, slumped over, barely moving. Their clothes (robes?) were wet with more blood.
There was something in their side.
-[ tourist froze up uselessly for a moment at the sight. ]
..oh gosh-!! You’re uh, bleeding, a lot-,,,..,!
-[ no shit, Sherlock. Anyway, they scampered over and grabbed the figure’s shoulders. ]
-[ they decided against shaking them, given that wouldn’t help definitely. ]
Hey! Are uh-,, are you still there? Oh jeez please don’t die already..
They were cold and clammy to the touch, but gave a pained yelp when they were grabbed. Only now was it noticeable that the something in their side was... moving, turning slowly, sadistically, painfully clockwise. They were still bleeding horribly.
As it twisted deeper, they would weakly kick or twitch in pain whenever there was a muffled snap or crack from inside them. Their face was wet with tears.

-[ should they pull it out? It might bleed more, but.. it looked like it was causing them more pain. ]

As the blade was slowly pulled out, a pained whimper escaped him. He tried to keep quiet- he didn't want her to come back and hurt the tourist- but the pain was too much.
"aAAGK--!"
It ravaged his soft tissues and blood vessels as it was pulled out, causing his bleeding to increase tenfold, and forcing a yelp out of him.
Tears were wetting his cassock cape from behind his head wings.

The moment the liquid touched his tongue, he twitched at the feeling, but, realizing the pain was quickly fading, sat up and took the container with shaky hands, carefully drinking the smoothie, wondering when he'd throw it back up.

It ravaged his soft tissues and blood vessels as it was pulled out, causing his bleeding to increase tenfold, and forcing a yelp out of him.
Tears were wetting his cassock cape from behind his head wings.
-[ oh jeez.. that was really bad. They’d done their best to be as gently as they could, but this blade was absolutely to cause pain. They didn’t know what to do with it, so they just kind of.. tossed it to the side. ]
-[ the bleeding was.. a lot. They didn’t have much to help with except for a smoothie (healing, somehow), but they offered it up anyway- with their free hand, of course. The other was on the wound, hoping it would at least help slightly. ]

In the corner close to the next door, there was a short vanta-black shape, slumped over, barely moving. Their clothes (robes?) were wet with more blood.
There was something in their side.

They were cold and clammy to the touch, but gave a pained yelp when they were grabbed. Only now was it noticeable that the something in their side was... moving, turning slowly, sadistically, painfully clockwise. They were still bleeding horribly.
As it twisted deeper, they would weakly kick or twitch in pain whenever there was a muffled snap or crack from inside them. Their face was wet with tears.

The torture was only getting worse, and the tourist needed to do something about it soon.

It ravaged his soft tissues and blood vessels as it was pulled out, causing his bleeding to increase tenfold, and forcing a yelp out of him.

It was sticky with blood. Symmetrical scarring lined his tongue and cheeks, as if a reverse bear trap had been on his head at some point.

[the sound of something landing hard on the hotel's carpet echoed from the next room.]
[it sounded like it was in pain; from the way it was breathing- raspy, strained- to the sound of it dragging itself to a side room, slowly...]
-[ they jumped like a startled cat at the sound. ]
-[ well, there goes normal and average. ]
-[ now Tourist did have some semblance of survival skills, yes, and yet they still wanted to investigate. Plus, it sounded like a person (oh my gosh, a person !!!) injured. They should help. ]
-[ wandering to the source of the sound without much hesitation, they checked if there were any bandaids or other medical adjacent things.]
-[ a bandaid, ok, better than nothing! ]
[apparently, it heard them rummaging through drawers. a quiet gasp, then a sudden yelp of pain as it collapsed onto... something... with a painful-sounding, wet, muffled CRUNCH.]
[all they needed to do was open the door.]
-[ ..oough. That sounded like it hurt. A lot. ]
-[ they figured it was probably time to stop stalling and just go check on the person. They didn’t want the only other person they’d seen here (well, besides John and Expendable) to die before they got to meet because Tourist was stalling. ]
-[ so they opened the door and looked inside. ]
