It’s not just allergic reactions. That’s a severe misunderstanding of what disinfectants do and a refusal to acknowledge how serious this is and WHY people are freaking out.

No, they’re not literally being gassed in the grandiose (gore-iose?) way you’d think of - being shoved into an iron chamber like animals that then is filled with gas that melts their skin… But they are still being forced to into small areas with harmful fumes and surfaces covered in chemicals that are made to eat living matter.

Ok so

I’m going to be honest I had no idea what to do about Mistlekit but I also didn’t want to just.. leave her dead cause that’d be boring.

So after a lot of thought, I’ve decided that in this AU that after a long and stubborn fight with Whitecouch, Yellowfang is successful with curing Mistlekit. During her long stay in the med den, her and Yellowfang bond, she learns more about Shadowclan, and decides that she wants to be a medicine cat like Yellowfang.

Speckletail is a bit more hesitant to move to Shadowclan with Snowkit because she’s unsure of what to do about Mistlekit. The trip to Shadowclan would be much harder on Speckletail with two kits in tow and there’s no telling how Mistlekit would react to moving to Shadowclan. Just the idea of leaving Mistlekit in Thunderclan is devastating to Speckletail, but has to consider it. Mistlekit, being a nosy little kit, eavesdrops on Speckletail and Yellowfang’s conversation and interrupts them as soon as she hears the idea of leaving her in Thunderclan like no??? She wants to go with her family and see Shadowclan for herself after hearing Yellowfang’s stories.

With Yellowfang’s help, Speckletail and her kits are able to make the trip safely. Mistlekit shares a few parting words with her grumpy friend, including making Yellowfang promise that they’ll see each other again someday and promising to watch over Shadowclan like Yellowfang once did.

Sure enough, a few moons later, Yellowfang meets the new Shadowclan medicine cat apprentice-Mistlepaw.
