literally shut the fuck up
Nah
I grew up on a farm and I am sorry to tell you this but the stuff you said is completely wrong. I have no idea where you got such a horrible education about such matters but please do research on your own or ask farmers who actually know what they are talking about

You don’t get to just pull facts out of your ass and pretend it’s reality

i am 5000% in favor of shaming cigarette smokers get that bullshit away from me
But when vegans feel this way about meat y’all hurt 🤗
Bruh. Second-Hand smoke shortens your lifespan. Meat does not.
It absolutely does, that’s why people who don’t eat animals have longer lifespans and lower rates of heart disease, osteoporosis, and cancer than those who do lmao
Animal agriculture also pollutes drinking water, breathable air, and arable soil and is a significant contributor to both greenhouse gas production and deforestation. And now it also sets the Amazon on fire.
Sources?
Go head and look them up bud lmao I’ve linked sources 800,000 times, including on this post so you can look through my vegan tag or the notes on this post but I’m genuinely tired of having to link people to sources like the UN and the World Health Organization, and the USDA when y’all have internet access just like me
Maybe I’m blind, but…
I still don’t see any sources
If I had to guess, I would say you didn’t look. But it’s okay, mommy will do it for you for the 800,001st time.
Amazon fires linked to the meat industry

The Loma Linda University study that found that vegetarians live longer than omnivores (there are many more but I’m not getting paid for this)
https://news.llu.edu/health-wellness/loma-linda-s-longevity-legacy
Lower risk of heart disease in vegans and vegetarians (there are many more but I’m not fucking getting paid for this)
https://www.bmj.com/content/366/bmj.l4897
As many sources as tumblr will physically let me post about animal agriculture’s impact on the environment (this was on Wikipedia, would’ve taken you less than 8 seconds to find)
Fun infographic explaining what meat definitely gives you cancer and what meat probably gives you cancer. This was in the news for like two full years.
http://www.unep.fr/shared/publications/pdf/dtix1262xpa-priorityproductsandmaterials_report.pdf
The UN report that led to them urging everyone to go vegan bc it would allow us to feed human beings and prevent global warming
Pretty much every nutritional report from the USDA since 2015, which I will not link bc I’m not actually getting fucking paid to do your research for you, idk if I mentioned that.
You have a responsibility to educate yourself. I have listed these links literally hundreds of times, many on this exact post. Ignoring easily verifiable data when you are funding something so dangerous and destructive is both childish and lazy.
Our planet is at too much risk to abide your shitty atttitude. Get out of my mentions and onto google.
I hope you realize that soy production also adds to the deforestation of the Amazon? Rice production dries up land in Northern India, and so does almond production in California. Big sugar destroys Florida coastline and there’s a number of growing plants that damage our planet just as much as meat. And pigs definitely don’t have the same environmental affect unlike cows- don’t need as much space, don’t need special food, don’t need as much water, and they reproduce fast.
You might say it causes cancer, but shit man I gotta die someday somehow.
Green Lantern, you're always telling us how bad meat is for the environment. I'm willing to throw some more zucchini kebabs on my barbecue
World Wildlife Fund - The leading organization in wildlife conservation and endangered species.
Sales of the non-dairy milk alternative are on the rise. But the super-healthy nuts – mostly grown in drought-hit California – need millions
The policy behind the pollution.
(The video explains it) “And it can be traced back to a policy meant to save water.”
Now, we can cut back our intake of meat, but even vegan alternatives aren’t great. We need a total reworking of our diets to combat climate change. And that includes workers rights, which are definitely not talked about by vegans.
About 6% of soy is fed to people. Cattle eat soy, that’s why they’re cutting down rainforests to produce it.
There are like ten other plant mills with lower water consumption than almond.
Vegans talk about workers’ rights all the time, including the people who have to work in literal slaughterhouses.
I’m glad you spent five whole minutes on research though that’s more than most people do, although you did skip the fact that food distribution required to produce meat to this extent starves people to death, the whole cancer/heart disease issue, and the fact that we’re slaughtering animals out of habit lmao
But the thing is, vegans aren’t buying those other options. They’re buying almond milk. And I didn’t skip on that, but vegans DO skip over workers rights (if most cared, you wouldn’t eat bananas, rice, coconut, etc. this is capitalism, everything you eat is killing somebody. There’s nothing ethical.) the heart disease and cancer doesn’t really matter, because vegans don’t live longer because of not eating meat, but because they tend to exercise more and drink/smoke less.
And we eat plants outta habit? Idk what you’re getting at there, that’s a morality issue that doesn’t add to the conversation.
I’m vegan and I buy ‘those other options’
The only time non-vegans bring up workers rights is when they’re arguing against vegans. ‘Everything is bad’ isn’t really an argument, especially when non-vegans are still eating all those plant foods too.
Vegans and vegetarians do tend to live longer, that’s one of the links I posted up there originally.
We have extensive evidence that demonstrates that people can live healthy lives on plant diets, and that meat hurts the human body, the planet, starves the less fortunate, and ends lives unnecessarily.
Morality is and always will be a part of the discussion lmao you can’t say ‘okay one option requires the death of sentient creatures in hellish conditions but let’s not bring that up’
It’s kind of depressing to see how disconnected from the scientific community so many young people are. I don’t understand not caring about or paying attention to the things you can do to benefit the earth. The only reputable information sources are scientific bc you don’t have to trust them, you can look at the data yourself. You can watch results be reproduced from varied sources. Why wouldn’t you want to educate yourselves?

lmao cigarettes will kill me, even if im not smoking them
meat won’t kill me, unless it’s improperly prepared or by some very small freak chance
That’s not true, bud, go head and do some research bc I explain this like three times a month and it’s tiresome
