I want to ask you to loan $600 to my friends' fundraiser, and I will pay you back in 18 months, of my own money.

Raneen, @a00h2, is my friend. She is trapped in Gaza, Palestine, with her family. She lost everything in the bombings and is now in poverty and homelessness. Her whole family, her baby, her husband, her husband's mother, are in mortal danger from the bombings. And her 1-year-old baby is in a respirator; he has very dangerous lung cancer.

She needs to pay $6,000 more before the 1st of July to get the family out of Gaza, so the baby can receive proper treatment and her other loved ones can be safe. But my friend doesn't have that money. She can't help them alone.

My friend is vetted as legitimate by @90-ghost here, by @gazavetters (#576) , and by @bilal-sala7. This Chuffed fundraiser goes directly to her; for transparency, you can dm @a00h2 if you want to confirm it.

I want to ask you to loan money. I can't have the $6,000 my friends need now; I will be able to have it 18 months from now. But my friends need the money now.

$491 is all that stands between my sister and the medicine that could keep her alive. Her condition has become terrifyingly worse, and every moment in the ICU feels like we are waiting to lose her. I cannot describe the pain of watching my sister suffer, weak and exhausted after her surgery, while we are unable to afford the treatment she desperately needs to survive.💔

I begged for help everywhere until my heart and soul became exhausted. I cried, pleaded, reposted, and hoped someone would care enough to save her, but the donations barely come while my sister is slowly fading in front of my eyes. one: as long as you aren't hurting or, like, being a dick to anyone, just staying in your comfort zone isn't an immoral action. if you just want to read one type of book (or just fanfiction), or just eat one type of food, or just watch one type of movie, or not go to new types of social events, you aren't being a bad person for that, and if people say that, they are soundly wrong and just trying to get a self-righteousness kick.

two: trying new things because you want to expand yourself feels a hell of a lot different than trying new things because you're being forced to. you'll feel better about trying new foods if you know you have a back up familiar one in case you can't stomach the new one, it's easier to read new books if you can experiment with audio versions or reading it in little five-page chunks by yourself, you can breathe a lot easier going somewhere new if you aren't chained there for three hours because your parent is your ride home, etc.

Trying a new food? You can stop at a single bite. Bored at the cinema? You can walk out mid-movie. Really want to go to a friend’s party but you’re also exhausted? You can plan on just going for 30 minutes, and you can leave even sooner if that ends up being too long.

The more you practice using outs liberally, the more you reinforce to your body that you are capable of protecting yourself.

I only started being able to go to weekly activites consistently once I started giving myself an out at every step. i.e:

- I’ve gotten ready and then not left the house

- I’ve driven there and then driven straight back

- I’ve left halfway through lessons

- I’ve modified or plain skipped the exercises that were flaring my POTS, or making me feel dysphoric, or that I just didn’t feel like doing that day.

For now they are saying they will allow to injured people to go out and i’m sure for normal people they must pay fees like i did 5000$

I didn’t sleep at night because of overthinking about my brother and his kid he’s one year old and his dad still away from him and now we can’t go because my nephew not allowed to inter gaza and we don’t have the money to get my brother traveling out 💔

As if Palestinian lives have fallen outside the calculations of this world... They stir no conscience, and halt no massacre.

Is it not damning that this website is less safe for transfem people than the Nazi bar that is Twitter? Is it not damning that this website is overwhelmingly white? Is it not damning that people are harassed, banned and marked as "mature content" with no recourse or explanation? Is it not damning that the owner of Tumblr harassed a user on other websites?
