not to get #fakedeep but i don’t know if post-hiatus fans really understand how much fans clung onto Zouis and their friendship. in a time where larry couldn’t interact and zayn & louis felt isolated, they both connected with one another and brought out a friendship that has always been so so special to see unfold. it’s hard to find friendships with men be portrayed the way Zouis was, and you could just tell how much love spilled from them both for the other. they weren’t just partners in crime— they were family. they were attached to the hip. they protected one another. they were loyal. they were fiercely nurturing. they made each other belly laugh. they provided a place of public warmth during some of the most stressful years of the band. they picked each other up by the bootstraps. they genuinely adored each other. they were so much brighter together. so when the friendship ended, it felt like a punch to the gut so see something that was built up and we cherished as much as these boys did just crumble right before our eyes. Zouis was a loving corner of the internet when not much else was. so excuse me if i’m overly emotional about louis following zayn back on instagram after so many years. it’s. just a lot.
