"that is quite the understatement," charlotte beamed, continuing to nip their lips. home. they were home with her finally. a home they'd created together. there was no more sneaking into the other's house, no more wasted rent, they had their shared space. shaking her head, she caressed their cheek with her thumb, "believe it or not, i'm the biggest sucker for cheese, so in no way would i think that." it did leave her curious and didn't want to put too much hope on it being a ring. she'd started to drop little hints along the way that she hoped her partner was starting to pick up on. she knew they were smart enough to work it out without her needing to say. "you better not leave me hanging."
beau absolutely adored seeing charlotte happy, so when she beamed, their lips curled up even bigger, not being able to really help themself. honestly, how did they get so lucky to be with someone so dang beautiful? and what made this even more perfect was the fact they didn't have to sneak around anymore, they were sharing a place and beau could now say that they were coming home — not only to where they lived, but home to charlotte. the only thing that could probably top all of this would be the day they asked this woman to marry them. it wasn't out of the question, they had thought about it, and they definitely knew that charlie did too, because they definitely did eventually catch onto the small hints the other was dropping, but they had a plan, and unfortunately it didn't involve this moment. "well that's a relief," a soft chuckle slipping into the open. "how about we head inside and i will give you it?" once inside, they lead charlotte to the couch and pulled off the backpack they had brought up with them, the rest of their luggage could wait till later. opening it, they looked up towards the other with a small smile. "close your eyes," they instructed softly. when her eye closed, they looked back to their bag and pulled out the gift they had got for her which was a personalized teddy bear plush that wore their teams jersey — number and all. moving over, they sat down next to charlotte, holding the bear in front of them. "okay, you can open your eyes now."
