All the older people (that have more focus on the show) having some kind of control or influence over Guy is so important to me. I mean, the way his life takes a different path because of them, or they are simply superior.
Helen. Jasper. Osterhaus. Burton. Daniel. Doris. Keves. Olive. Raglan. Archie. And even Jasper's driver, whose name I can't remember right now. Even though I'm not sure if Keves is older than him or not.
Helen I don't even need to explain. She is Talamasca, and the Talamasca is responsible for Guy's entire life, from the reason his mother disappeared to him being put up for adoption, his education, everything. She brings Guy into the life of spies and monsters. She brings him to Jasper.
Jasper, vampire and manipulative Jasper. Who does Guy need information about regarding Flight 752, and who does the Talamasca need him to get close to? The reason Soladed is dead and why Guy is needed by the Talamasca. The reason Guy ran away with Doris ( I believe if that talk after the hotel was different, Guy would stay. For a while, at least ).
Osterhaus, in a more meaningful way since he would be Guy's superior at the company, and he was the push Guy needed to find the courage for that job interview, that was the reason he got the job.
Burton, Giving Guy that advice about the Talamasca and its powers, creating that hint of distrust with Helen and theoretically teaching him about telepathy. Besides Daniel's book with Anna Leamas highlighted, being left in his apartment. The reason he went to Daniel.
Daniel ( technically, it was the Talamasca itself, since they altered that page of his book to include the name. ) and telling Guy that Anna was alive, that he shouldn't trust in talamasca because they would use him. The reason Guy goes in that life of spies.
Doris and ( more or less ) needing him to run away, This is (in a way) the reason for Jasper and Guy's argument, the reason he's running away from him and the Talamasca. She's someone who knows something about his mother, something that will guide his future.
Keves using him for information and he seeing her book, that leads him to the coven, to meet Doris, and etc and etc after that. Keves, dead, and his actions because of them ( short ) history making him a suspect of her murderer.
Olive being the one "responsible" for him in London, and being a double spy for Jasper. She being the one to mislead the police on Keves' case at the beginning.
Raglan and the sequence of scenes in the hotel, using him solely to do business with the vampires and obtain that blood. He placed him in that hotel room, creating that beautiful scene of Guy in that vampire's mind and the decisions Guy makes afterward. Like quitting the pills.
Archie that started almost all. Keves dead, Guy meeting Jasper for the first time, Guy being chased by the police, needing to run.
Jasper's driver, that tells him about the "pretty girl" and make Jasper jealous, with leads to the fight and Guy running from Jasper and Jasper being set on fire which make him more weak and leads him to be caught by talamasca ( I fucking hate that decision and how it was put into action )
