Loved the fast-paced storyline! And it is amazing how they incorporated virtual reality and the Metaverse into the story. Marveled at the cool avatars they have created and bringing viewers into the virtual restaurant!
Cast was amazing! Great chemistry and great acting. 安仔 and 偉哥 were superb!
Totally enjoyed this short series!
Haven’t watched such entertaining and fun drama in a loooong time. Brings me back to the 城寨英雄 and 同盟 days. I have to admit, Ruco Chan was amazing here playing the mentally unstable Nin suffering from hallucinations.
Loved the humor and how natural each and every cast member is. Love-hate the ending tho.. Sad that Nin couldn’t be with Q Yi but the fact that Nin sacrificed for everyone is the most logical and expected thing that he would do.
Overall, loved the entire drama and would like to see a part II but unfortunately, the director said there wouldn’t be one. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻

Plan ‘B’
Okay.. Not very sure why I ended up watching this show but there was just something that made me click start on episode 1. And here I am having finished the entire drama. I think partly was Tong Tong kid being so cute and thumbs up for a 2 and half year old kid to be able to act in a drama and deliver simple lines.
One thing I kinda like was how they portray several issues that a normal family would be facing. The struggles of bringing up children, having mom guilt, handling differing opinions from both side of the family, facing over controlling mother-in-laws, dealing with typical mentality of fathers out working while moms stay home to take care of the kids etc. Even though it was overdramatized, I think it was a good premise to work around and I bet these would have captivated all the struggling moms out there. As usual, Kenneth Ma being the all-time-Mr-Nice-guy taking care of the family even though I hated his 大男人主义. Eliza Sam also really suited the working/stay-home mum even though I found her character really whiny at times.
Another actress that wowed me was Yoyo Chen. I knew all along her acting was on point (plus her dubbing giving how well she performed on 好聲好氣) but I finally was able to sit through a drama with her in it to witness how amazing she was. When she broke down together with Jonathan Cheung (who was equally amazing) on how she couldn’t get pregnant/lost the baby and even had to do hormone injections was beyond my expectations. It’s such a pity how she always get overshadowed and had to play a supporting role most of the time. Heard she is getting a drama as a main so that’s great I guess.
The story was easy to follow. Just hurdles after hurdles in taking care of a kid and overcoming challenges experienced in the family. The number of focuses between several family members was also easy to capture. From the main family (山,悠悠), to both their parents, to 山‘s brother, 悠悠‘s cousin and also her working life. Oh! Speaking of her working life, I was also marveled at 高姐 ‘s acting. When she cried terribly on how she failed to properly bring up her daughter, I really felt her emotions and heartbreak during that scene. Thumbs up.
There were a lot of life lessons that were brought up, maybe more specifically for struggling moms out there, but there was one thing that I really like. To actually live in the moment and not bother too much about the past or the future. Plus how can one miss out on one of the message on the importance of family ties. Especially the mother-daughter relationship. There will always be this bittersweet feeling of growing up and having to “leave” your family to start your own. Just like how a baby bird is ready to take flight and leave its nest and ready to adult. As mentioned in the drama, this has always been and will always be a cycle.
I do admit that I enjoyed this drama. Very realistic portrayal of the difficulties in raising a kid in a fast-paced society. And I like the four elderlies who are always bickering and doing funny acts esp Happy Jeh. 😂 A nice drama to watch to kill time. 👍🏻
Sinister Beings
Am back and excited with this new drama because not only is it exciting but also Ruco Chan. Haven’t seen his drama for a long time. So before I started Sinister Beings, I was watching Shadow of Justice (Bobby A.Y and Joe M.) and what the F was happening in this SoJ drama I haven’t got a clue. It felt like nothing major was happening other than flashbacks on the love line between characters, Bobby A.Y being annoying and cheeky to some of his colleagues and Joe M. looking cool as a lawyer.. there was nothing captivating about the entire story and I have to wreck my brain to rmb what was gg on and where I’ve stopped in order to continue the drama. Was kinda excited before I started this drama because firstly Bobby A.Y doesn’t usually disappoint and plus with Joe M. and also Joey Man who we’ve haven’t seen in a long time (IMO, she doesn’t have that enough sass to be a madam..) was in the show. Sadly, I couldn’t even pass episode 10 and I gave up. There might probably be more good stuff at the back but they were taking too long and they lost me as a viewer…
Okay, enough of SoJ. This is for Sinister Beings. Once the drama ended, the first thing I bet everyone would be talking about would be that ending for Sum Sir (Ruco C.) and Wing (Rosina L.). Gosh, another sad ending. WHY Mr Writer .. WHY? Now I understand why everyone was describing Ana (Crystal F.) as a 国明姦夫. Lol it’s just a show but I get why everyone was getting so worked up about how Ana is a spoiler in the relationship. And also I have to admit, where can we find such a good girlfriend like Wing?? Her character has put in so much trust in her boyfriend and yet she is being treated this way, I definitely do understand why she has to reject Sum at the end..
Another pairing that I wasn’t so interested in was Hazel (Joman C.) and Nic Sir (Ben W.). Their signature English song was.. well, always a signal to me that it’s their screen time. Lol Anyway, I admire Hazel’s professionalism as a barrister and how she keeps her composure to fight for her client’s best interest despite even having to cross examine Nic’s Dad (who was pretty annoying IMO coz of his constant rambling and being “Sherlock”). I get why Nic gets worked up regarding the lighter that was wrongly passed to the police as evidence (as a result of his Dad making a mistake). But all Hazel did was to do her job right??
Moon and Jonathan Cheung was amazing as the antagonist too. And wow for their really daring acting for their bed scenes. Not much from me on their side of the story. Just curious why was it always Moon who is driving 😂 Something fresh coz usually it’d be the guy driving and escaping around but this time it was a female taking over the wheel. (🤔 or is it Jonathan Cheung who can’t drive ..?)
A really entertaining and enjoyable drama. Probably it’s because I haven’t enjoyed a drama in a loooong time. If there is gg to be a sequel, definitely gg to jump on board. And of course if possible a happier ending for Wing and Sum.
The Impossible 3!
Didn't expect it would take only 6 episodes for the entire show. I thought it wasn't updating or something was wrong with the uploading.
Anyway, a very funny and entertaining story. I like how they throw not only the audiences but also the characters into their own imaginary world, thinking about how they would react differently in the situations they are facing. I like how they create simple characters that are relatable. 作家 who is a story writer that faces writers block sometimes. Bou Yi who is (supposedly... until revealed at the end) a normal tour guide that likes to fantasize about being cool in action films/drama. Last was Mou tze who is a stuntman but yet always timid and almost chickening out of all the dangerous stuff. It was nice to humanize the characters and allowing audiences to relate to them instead of putting them as those action-hero/heroine who always saves the day.
The humor was done right, not overly exaggerated. I was laughing at all the funny conversations and action esp Bosco W. whose character is literally 怕死. Nice to see a little cameo by some of the famous HK actors like Vincent W., Moses C. and Sammy S. I think the pairing of Chilam C., Chrissie C. and Bosco W. was done right and I also like how they simply split the entire drama into 3 different stories (Saving the kids from illegal trading, Saving Jackey C. (Bou Yi's friend) and the Revelation of Bou Yi's identity). Easy to keep up with and entertaining enough. Furthermore, the fact that it was short with only 6 episodes made it way quicker to finish.
All in all, a very entertaining and short series to kill time. Chrissie C. was as cool as I've seen her in White War and the other two guys made looking cool and swag really easy. Loved the humor incorporated and also how the characters just stand around sometimes trying to give off the Avengers-team-slow-mo-walk. Entertaining!

Legal Mavericks 2
Finally finished this drama after leaving it hanging for months.. Anyway, it was nice seeing the old cast (Vincent W., Owen C. and Sisley C.) back in action (missing Ali L. though). It was also fresh seeing Kelly C. and that cute little girl (not very sure what is her name and also lazy to google.. apologies..).
The cases were average.. Just exciting enough to keep going till the end. Some interesting cases were the heart transplant. I guess money really makes the world go round eh.. Another case is the case with Law Lan Jeh. I really thought Candice C. (portraying the beer lady) is up to no good but totally didn’t expect Law Lan Jeh to be the one lying. Overall, I still enjoyed all the cases that were brought up in LM2.
As for the characters, can i just say how funny both Gogo and Dean Jeh were. That random make out scene and also how they were worried over whether Dean Jeh is pregnant or not were hilarious. Another thing is.. why didnt they provide a proper introduction for Bou Chai’s character (the police inspector played by Lesley Chiang)..? They just pushed her out into the story out of the blue and only revealed part of her past during the case of her being accused of shooting dead the mental gamer guy.
Plus, that Gan Sir isnt that bad actually. He just likes to make it seem like he is overdoing things in order to win but always have a hidden agenda to not overstep.
At the end, i didnt expect Eva to end up with Gogo. There were so many hints of a relationship to be developed between Eva and Hope Man so i was actually expecting that. Ending for Dean Jeh was heartbreaking. After 6 months, the entire team is still waiting for her. And my interpretation of the epilogue showing her appearing with the team physically might probably show that her spirit has always been with them as a tear rolled down her cheeks at the hospital. A probable chance of a part 3 but in my opinion it definitely needs fresh ideas and more interesting storylines should a part 3 be green lit.
Line Walker 3!
Charmaine Sheh. Where is Charmaine Sheh. If she’s here for LW3, all other actresses please stand downnnnn.
Anyway, I understand from the point that with more actors and actresses onboard, the need for more plot or stories for each “group” (in a sense). But also, more cast members means lesser Bao Seed, Foon Hei and Cheuk Sir. A need for more screen time to be shared and I’m kinda sad to see lesser of them since technically they are the main “heart and soul” (missing Charmaine Sheh) of Line Walker.
Also, so much unnecessary scenes throughout. Probably the reason that the show stretches for 35episodes. Yes, I was forwarding those romantic parts (Ho-Yueng and Dou, Madam G and Chok Wing, Tin Tong and Suk Mui). But one good thing are that the pairings are done right. 👍🏻
Another thing I want to mention are the tiny cameos! Can someone just also notice the fact that the crew are planting Ding Sis lookalike throughout the show.. can’t be that I’m the only one noticing it right?! That lookalike appeared thrice okay! And and, Ron Ng! Omg two A-listers taking a picture. I was so excited to see Ron Ng~
Going towards the end, yes it did get exciting. And why are they killing off characters?! Ugh. Some really made me sad.. Plus, one thing I didn’t like was Kenneth Ma as the antagonist. I know that they forewarned us at the end of Line Walker 2 but casting Kenneth Ma as a so called bad guy doesn’t seem to fit in for me. I find that maybe he could have been better off sticking to playing the good, filial, innocent, family guy type.
Line walker 3 gave me a lot of surprises at the end especially the last 2 episodes. Some new faces in the series of Line walker were revealed in part 3. There were also not as much cliffhangers as it had in Line Walker 1 but it was still exiciting. The ending also teased us at a possible sequel yet again.
Really really wanted to see Charmaine Sheh in LW and I’d totally be down for a part 4 if she is coming back. (Also on a condition that Michael Miu, Foon Hei Gor and Lin Feng is still in it. Please, they are the soul of LW)
All in all, LW3 was exciting. Not bad a watch but of course in comparison to 1, it hasn’t lived up to the standard and excitement.
