im playing ddlc for the first time and somehow ive avoided most spoilers for it i just know that things arent as they seem. but even though i know that this isnt really a dating sim im still getting icked out by the dating sim aspects of it. im too #aro i guess but there's something just so anxiety inducing about every little choice i make be interpreted as either a subtle flirt or rejection. like why cant i just talk normalstyle. you know. anyways i really want the horror aspect to come soon bc tbh i dont know how much more of this i can stomach LOL

Ryland Grace and his popularity as a character feels like such an important step in repairing the cultural tsunami left by the long running trope of every genius character needing to be an insufferable asshole to everyone in a ten mile radios about it.

Conversely, Eva Stratt is doing wonders for repairing and inspiring a appreciation for commanding women with dubious moral convictions who are fully willing to bend laws for the greater good without hesitation.

And together they are doing brilliant things by not kissing or hooking up even once.

Perhaps this is an obnoxious take on my part, but video games should, above all things, prioritize the ability of being paused. At any point. Regardless of whether it's during a cutscene, a special animation, or a time-based puzzle. You never know when you're gonna get a phone call, or someone will need you in another room, or you get a sudden urge to go to the bathroom, or you hear your cat licking plastic, or whatever. Other entertainment mediums like books, movies, and music can be paused whenever you want. Why do some games not give you the same luxury??
