Why are so many people in this fanbase convinced that Kaiser would have a fetish for choking? It’s blatant mischaracterization. He chokes himself as a form of self harm, not sexual pleasure.

In this scene, I believe he did it as a form of punishment for ‘underperforming’ during his previous game. We know his father used to physically harm him, especially when he couldn’t bring him what he needed (which, from what from what I remember was milk in that one instance). So what does Kaiser do now that his father isn’t around to pressure him into doing better? He inflicts it upon himself. He forces himself into the same position he was in back when he was a child, activating whatever instinct it is that will make him think outside the box and push him to do better. That is how he managed to come up with a way to ‘crush’ Yoichi Isagi. Kaiser associates being choked with his failure. It is a coping mechanism and a form of punishment that forces him to come up with ways he can do better. Why would he have a fetish for something he does to himself as a form of self harm? Some of you are obsessed with turning anything and everything into a fetish or something sexual, and it really shows. No, Michael Kaiser would not choke his partner nor would he find it sexually arousing to choke somebody. In fact, it would probably trigger him and take him out of the moment.

Moving on to my next complaint…

I have also seen SO MANY comments from thirsty Kaiser ‘fans’ sexualizing his grip strength under posts that are clearly about the fact that he uses his strength to hurt himself. “Oh, I want him to choke me!” First of all, time and a place. Why are you glossing over the fact that he’s harming himself and instead choosing to sexualize him while he’s strangling himself? To me, it gives off a very weird vibe… almost like you’re romanticizing self harm…. but I might be reaching!

Anywho, next point….

People misinterpreting Michael Kaiser’s ‘fixation’ from the Egoist Bible. The Egoist Bible says: “Fixation: Despair. I want to experience the deep immersion of that person.” Somehow, I have seen people say that he would get turned on watching his partner cry. That is NOT what he meant by ‘despair.’ “I want to experience the deep immersion of that person.” He is referring to extreme emotions. Kaiser wants to be deeply immersed in his love for somebody, even during the times of despair. A lot of his character revolves around yearning for love because he never received it growing up, so I feel that this is the most appropriate interpretation.

Lastly ….

The people that say Kaiser would be a ‘playboy’ or that he’d cheat on his partner / would fool around frequently. LOUD incorrect buzzer. I know that sex can be a coping mechanism for some people because it’s a way they feel anything close to love / feeling alive, which ok, fair point, but I do not think Kaiser would be a “playboy.” It just doesn’t seem like his thing. But alas, that is just my opinion!

And about the whole “Kaiser would be a cheater.” Yeah, no. You know who would cheat though? Oliver Aiku.

Long story short, a lot of people mischaracterize Kaiser and I think many of those people are not actually fans of his character, they just think he’s hot and want to fuck him. They don’t bother to look any deeper into his character or his writing because to them, he’s just “The sexy German guy from Blue Lock.” Yes, you can both love his character and thirst over him, but I’ve seen way too many posts just sexualizing him lately and it’s getting tiring.

Michael Kaiser is a great and well written character and I hate watching him get watered down to “hot German footballer” because he means so much to me. The symbolism of his tattoo especially. I believe he is represented by blue roses because blue roses are “impossible,” they do not exist in nature. So therefore, he is the blue rose, because he does the impossible.
