This is Kummakivi which means “strange rock.” in Finland.

The huge boulder looks impossible because it seems to balance on a tiny curved surface without falling. But here’s what happened:

Around 11,000 years ago, during the last Ice Age, massive glaciers moved across Northern Europe.🤔

As the ice melted, glaciers carried giant rocks and dropped them in unusual places.

Kummakivi was left perfectly balanced on top of another smooth rock by those moving glaciers.

Even though it looks unstable, the rock is actually:

Carefully balanced by nature...🤷‍♀️
