Frost finally gets his sushi?!
Frost woke up, gears churning beneath his metal. Blinking, he turned to his side. Solar was there, looking a bit proud. What did Solar do that made him like that? Was it about that upgrade he'd mentioned earlier, before Frost powered off for him to do so? Frost wasn't sure what for until he spoke up.
โWhat did youโโ He paused, before reaching up, hand pausing mid air as he felt his mouth move.
He opened his mouth, attempting to speak another time, before it clicked completely. He could move his mouth more!
His eyes lit up, as Nova's transparent self stood beside him, smiling as well, seemingly excited.
โFrosty! Frosty we can move our mouths! That means we can eat now!โ Nova cheered with a sparkling gaze.
โWe can eat now?โ Frost repeated, looking at Solar with curiosity.
Solar simply nodded, before smiling back as well. โI wasn't exactly sure what to do, but I managed to get it right. So you two have a stomach now, and your mouth, as you can tell, is more animated. You can eat properly now.โ
โThank you Solar,โ The shared body said, seemingly satisfied with the upgrade.
Moondrop came forward to Nova, telling him and a listening Frost that Monty had gone out for a moment.
Naturally, they'd became confused. Why tell them specifically, while they were off playing games with Jack?
It was when they saw Jack covering a grin with the bottom of his hat that they became suspicious.
Just what were they up to, exactly?
They didn't have to wait long for the answer.
Monty came in, food containers in tow, a grin playing on his snout. Jack held Nova's hand, bringing him over to a table, chirping happily about how โFrost might like thisโ!
Nova was curious, and sat down obligingly. The food was placed in front of him by Molten, who glanced to the side, oddly enough earning a nod from both Roxanne and Chica.
Quickly, the two girls darted to Gomer, dragging him out of the room.? Solar merely rolled his eyes, doing a sort of salute before following Monty and Moon out of the room.
โWhat're they doing, Frosty?โ Nova whispered, looking at the transparent figure beside him, who just hummed, unsure himself. Molten, ever so iconic of him, simply spoke one sentence, before darting off with Jack. โEnjoy your sushi date, Frost and Nova!โ
Frost twitched, before looking back at the two, practically shouting a mute, โWHAT!?โ
Of course, only Nova and Molten heard him. And Frost felt as Nova's gaze turned to them, turning to see a smile play on his face, as he said one word, letting Frost front. โFrosty!โ
Frost ate the sushi happily, occasionally flipping positions with Nova, letting him try it as well. The two enjoyed it heavily, eyes sparkling all the while.
Molten and Jack watched now, from the hallway, leaning against the wall with clear pride. So they were the ones who orchestrated all this. Clever, clever.
.. Although now, they might just have to get back at them. As much as they enjoy this, it would only be fair Molten and Jack are trapped doing something they like. Maybe sponge eating. Maybe getting more plushies.
They'll talk to Sun later. See what he can come up with, for a glorious day put together for the chaotic duo of wires and pumpkins.
Frost smiled, eating another bit of sushi peacefully.
It was nice. Having this strange dinner date with his lover.
