hockey rpf microfics

hockeyrpfmicrofic is exactly that, a challenge to write a short drabble. each month will have a one or two word prompt and a word limit (typically under 1k). these are randomly generated monthly.

how can i participate?

prompts will be announced on the first of each month, then you'll have until 11:59pm cst the day before the end of the month to fill the prompt (june has 30 days, so the prompts would have been due on june 29 for example). your story must be a standalone drabble (ship of your choosing) that fits the prompt in some way. if you want us to share your story, you can tag us and use the month's hashtag.

we'll be strict on wordcounts and will check each submission before reblogging. please check all wordcounts with https://wordcounter.net/.

i've been thinking about putting together a month-long microfic challenge for anyone who enjoys writing hockey rpf, and i'd love to see if there's any interest!

the idea is simple: one prompt a month, one tiny story. each prompt would be one or two words, open to interpretation, so you can write whatever inspires you. fluff, angst, canon, au, rarepairs, popular ships, gen, friendships, established relationships, first meetings... anything goes.

there'd be no minimum or maximum word count and no pressure to write every month. the goal is simply to have fun, celebrate the community, and maybe discover some new writers and ships along the way.

i'd also love for this to be as welcoming as possible. whether you've been writing hockey rpf for years or you're posting your very first fic, you're invited. 💛
