We at Palmerston Hobby Ceramics are pleased to announce our upcoming program proudly sponsored by The Northern Territory Government. The participants aged between 𝟏𝟓-𝟐𝟎 𝐲𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐬 will be designing and painting one ceramic tile.No skill is required; everything will be taught to ensure a successful outcome. The tile will be themed around a selected ᴅʀᴜɢs ᴀɴᴅ ᴀʟᴄᴏʜᴏʟ prevention slogan. If you or your child wants to be involved in this colourful program, you must commit to attending the four sessions. The nest story. Initially we tried to knock down the muddy nest but the birds kept rebuilding. So we thought, ok have your nest here since your so set on this location. We were rewarded with the birds shitting on everything possible. Chairs, tables, paths, motorbikes and cars. These birds would even swoop the cats till they gave up trying to eat their own dinners. Yep the birds were ruling the yard.🐦🐦 There were initially four. Not sure why but one of the baby birds were pushed from the nest to be discovered much to late to attempt to save it. Now there were three. We watched from the studio window the baby birds often being feed lifting their heads for all to see. And then they were gone. Grown and flown off into the blue skies. When we took the nest down I noticed these birds did not poo in their own home. We can gain so much wisdom from watching other species. So many humans do not look after what they have. Through their own anger, sadness, fears many make their own homes unsafe, unloving and un-nurturing. What if we followed by example? What if we looked after our babies, kept own homes clean and safe while teaching our children to be independent enough spread their wings and fly? We can be living in a relationship that has been on a slow decline for years and not even know it. A fish in the water doesn't notice the water. Marriage starts off with the wedding day, a celebration of lovers coming together in union. Its romantic and magical, Oh isn't she a beautiful bride everyone coos and him the dashing groom. Next of course is the honeymoon, a holiday of a life time. The years tick by. Little by little fuses get shorter. Children are born and the undivided attention is now limited. Building a home the financial responsibilities are as massive as the house. Decades are pass and resentment is a way of living. Communication is more than often an argument. Of course there are times that there is passion, laughter after all isn't that what we signed up for. You can laugh but all too often the winters feel long and dark like the descent of mental health not to mention bodies reflecting the inner turmoil. Someone new comes along and lights a flame within a dull life. This very person has an agenda that can not be seen through rose coloured glasses. Your faced with the choice stay or go. Leap in while no one is watching or embrace the challenge to rekindle your own intimate relationship with your spouse. If like my situation the unhealed trauma from youth comes to sabotage the safe uncomfortable place you live in everyday. The mind starts working against you. For so long I prioritized raising my family then when I could see my 40th birthday 🎂 approaching fast, I knew I wanted to achieve so much more in my life. Doing busy was easy I had done it for so long. When we are surviving there is no time to stop and really wonder why do I feel the way I do? The next decade passed quickly building a business, embracing studies, doing chores, keeping hobbies. There wasn't much energy or patience left for the man I love most ❤. The child has an attachment to one parent more than the other. Where there is an attachment loyalty follows. When being raised by competing primary carers the child subconsciously rejects one or both parents. To survive the environment.
