: we stood at the genesis

It started small. Something tickling at the back of their senses. A consciousness almost brushing up against theirs while they slept. It took a little time for them to realize it wasn’t thoughts or someone near them in a physical sense. Instead, it was someone above. Someone familiar. Instinct told them to answer. Time passed as they began to move, clawing their way up. They clawed their way through the ground to see who would called them so. Blinking away the light and the dirt, they caught sight of a slightly familiar face. Blurry, but familiar. Their body wasn’t that of a human. The shimmering, nearly formless being they naturally were as they forced themselves away. To full take in the forest, they could hear around them. See who they were with even if they trusted their instincts to lead them right. Finally, their vision cleared, and they could so who sat with them. “Jongsu,” they quietly stated. Soft. Low.
