I’m posting this publicly so everyone can see what a shameless ignorant asshole and vile hateful human being this person is. Let me be the first to make it clear that Christine’s passing had zero to do with corsetry. It was actually due to complications from a yoga injury, and none of us are decrying yoga as deadly. Putting aside this person’s blatant ignorance of how ones health can or cannot be affected by corseting (something which, being a medical student Christine was exceptionally well informed of) or even that I need corsets for daily pain relief and do not consider myself a tightlacer or waist trainer at all. I was very close to her and this is a heartless insult to her grieving family and community, who have all been profoundly affected by her loss. I am still grieving every day, and working as hard as I do to perfect my craft (of which this person probably has no comprehension of the skill and time it takes to master) as a way to honor her and remain close to her. To dishonor the dead and the mourning in such a hateful threatening way is the cowardly act of a bored and idiotic person who has nothing in their heart but hatred, selfishness, and spite.
