And I Don't Believe In The Truth, Truth

*The Norwegian listens carefully, blinking softly while he sits leant back in his seat and watches the other man play. Even without the accompaniment, the piece still sounds wonderful. Sigurd even gives a very small and slow applause once the piece is over*  Just like I expected. *mumbles, rubs his neck a little afterwards* It was wonderful. 

[Roderich raises an eyebrow to himself at the other’s reaction, unsure if the other was to be taken as a compliment or not] I have not earned my reputation as the “Nation of music” for nothing, of course. 

Yes, yes, of course. *orders them both another round of drinks* I had THOUGHT that, perchance, you might have grown a heart to my cause, but I SUPPOSE that is a bit too much to ask for… *sighs dramatically* I suppose I shall just suffer, then!

Please, I would know better than give you my heart. [scoffs, cupping his hand around the glass and pulling it closer after the bartender refills their glasses] 

*scoffs a bit* You’re not giving money to me! You’re giving money to my lovely palaces and parks and grounds! I don’t see a cent of it. *nudges him a little bit* C'mon. I will, I promise, give money to yours as well!

[turns his nose up a bit] I thought the only concession I had to give was to have a drink. [complain-y voice] I certainly never made any agreements to a monetary donation.

[Roderich raises his eyebrow a fraction when the other sits next to him but he otherwise says nothing of it] It is often a good practice to have the piece properly demonstrated before attempting to learn it yourself. [nods wisely in agreement] And by indication of your performance, you would appear to be a very capable musician. 

Cool. *leans back and tilts his head just lightly at the other* So now you play something for me, right? *his legs cross lightly over each other, and he seems to sit rather relaxed in his seat such as he’s leant back with the violin resting in his lap* 

That was the agreement. [clears his throat once before getting to his feet and beginning to tighten his bow. he seems to think over what to play for a moment before finally nodding to himself and fitting the violin under his chin. perhaps it will sound a bit empty without the accompaniment, but he figures the chosen piece will show of his skills all the same]

Hosting was quite enjoyable, although I must admit that I wish the outcomes of the actual contest could have been more favorable. [coughs uncomfortably before changing subjects] Oh, I had not thought you would be interested in doing such a thing. [blinks in surprise] A concert would be lovely. Did you have one in mind? 

[She takes another drink to avoid commenting on the subject before smiling] Of course I’m interested. I like music too, you know. I figured I leave it up to you to decided. I thought it’d be nice to do something gun together. Not that this isn’t fun.

Of course I know you like music too. [ducks his head self-consciously] I am not that far on my high horse about the fine arts to not realize that. The Salzburg Festival will be commencing in a few weeks*, perhaps that would be of interest?
