Job Title : - Lan/Security Engineer
Location : - Queens, New York
Duration : - 9 months
Responsible for tier two support, monitoring, and daily maintenance of LAN/MAN/WAN, DNS/DHCP, IronPort Proxy Appliance, Checkpoint Firewalls, WiFi, and RSA Secure ID systems. This would include: - Generate and revise network diagrams and network documentation. - Install, configure, maintain and support equipment and systems. - Troubleshoot connectivity and infrastructure problems. - Liaise with clients and counterparts within and outside the organization as well as with carriers - Supervises crew of LAN/WLAN/FW technicians - Provide 24 x 7 off hour support. Required skills: - Minimal 7 year experience in installing and configuring network, FW, IronPort Proxy, DNS/DHCP equipment in large and complex environment. - Minimal 7 year experience in managing and monitoring LAN, MAN, WAN and data infrastructure including TCP/IP networks, VPN, firewalls, switches, routers and network analysis tools. - Minimal 7 year experience with updating, building, troubleshooting Linux based DHCP and DNS services. - Minimal 7 year experience with routing protocols such as EIGRP, OSPF, BGP etc. - Knowledge of the ITIL framework. Experience in customer services and the ability to provide a professional interface with the user community. Good interpersonal skills.
