Headcanons all about Hiro Hamada

Hiro has many Filipino friends whom he would hang out with frequently. He knows some Tagalog words and phrases from them as well.

Headcanon #28: Hiro is terrified of needles and shots. He refuses to have anything done like that without his brother there with him.

Headcanon #27: Hiro loves to be sang to, especially when he can’t sleep. Something about it just soothes him and makes him feel calm.

Tadashi headcanon #3: Tadashi loves ice cream. Unfourtunately for him, he is also prone to stomach aches from eating it. 

Headcanon #26: Hiro snores in his sleep very loudly. He can wake up the whole house at times.

Tadashi headcanon #2: Tadashi is a morning person. He likes to get up and showered as soon as he can so he can start the day and get the most out of it. This annoys Hiro because he usually attempts to make him wake up early as well.

Headcanon #25: Hiro’s constantly writing “Tadashi Hamada” or “Look for a new angle” on his school papers after the fire when he gets upset or frustrated with his work.

Headcanon #24: Hiro’s slight peanut allergy was discovered one day when he was younger and Tadashi shared a peanut butter cup with him. Every day since, he has hated peanut butter cups and gets nervous around people that are eating them.

Headcanon #23: When he was younger, Hiro used to play soccer at school.

Headcanon #23: Hiro gets cold very easily. Thus, why he wears his hoodie almost all the time.

Headcanon #22: Hiro loves to go to scrapyards and pick up pieces of things he can make into really cool inventions.

Headcanon #21: Hiro works in The Lucky Cat Cafe from time to time, even though he doesn’t enjoy it very much. He loves helping Aunt Cass cook and bake, though.

Headcanon #20: Hiro is a very sweet and kind person even though he doesn’t look like he is at times. He will try to make everyone happy and eventually fix the mistakes me made when he realizes he made them. Let’s just say a little bit of Tadashi rubbed off on him.

Headcanon #19: Hiro is very used to being physically hit on and beat up due to his botfighting days and being bullied in school.

Headcanon #18: Hiro will open up to someone when he has a strong bond with them. He also won’t accept much help from anyone unless they’re a close friend.

Headcanon #17: Hiro likes hugs and snuggles once he gets to know someone. But he does not like being touched by anyone he doesn’t know very well without giving them permission to do so.

Headcanon #16:  Hiro hates the Fourth of July all because of the fireworks. The loud booms and flashes of lights terrify him and remind him of the SFIT fire. He also used to be slightly scared of them as a child until Tadashi brought him out of it, so, seeing fireworks reminds him of when he was young and his brother comforting him while he was scared.
