⇨ Thalassa's Memoria isn't fully canon – only the planet and the Aeon Ouroboros from Honkai: Star Rail are taken as canon foundations.

⇨ TM is a product of the author's imagination, and all OCs belong to them – except for one in "A.S.A.R." – Boothill.

⇨ TM was created purely for fun – it's a fan work through and through. It's not meant for people who are super strict about canon and can't handle any fan interaction with canon characters. That said.. TM does have a story that touches on canon. "A.S.A.R." – a fanfic featuring a Canon-Character + NotCanon-Character pairing – is perfect for those who actually enjoy reading people's headcanons and seeing how they interpret canon characters, dreaming of things that'll never happen.

1. Male and female Rivera have two completely different backstories. Think of them as two separate characters who just happen to share the same face.

– The female version was made specifically for HSR.

– The male version is a more grounded, realistic character — he's just a regular human.

2. Different backstories, different endings.

– The female Rivera's story has two possible endings – one where key characters survive, and one where a lot of people die. My future readers will get to choose which ending they want when they finish reading Apricots.

– The male version only has one ending – he loses his family and friends. That's set in stone. He's alone in his story.

3. Since HSR doesn't have strict nationalities – just hints and general vibes – I decided to add my own headcanons here.

– Female Rivera : I see her as Latina / Spanish.

– Male Rivera : I see him as British / Spanish.

4. Since we're on the topic of nationality, let's talk language.

– For the HSR lore, I created a mixed language I call Thalassian (English + French + Spanish). Female Rivera speaks Thalassian with a pirate accent. Here are some examples :

5. Orientation for both.

– Female Rivera is bisexual with a lean toward hetero – she's tough and dominant.

– Male Rivera is also bisexual with a lean toward hetero – but he's NOT tough. He's sensitive and more "show-off passive" (meaning he'll act like an alpha male, but in reality, he'd pass out after one "kiss"/bj).

6. Personality traits of the two Riveras.

– Female Rivera is extremely loyal. She had a husband and a son with him – and after William, there was no one in her life until Boothill came along.

– Male Rivera is more of a player. He's a bit of a slut – and I have the right to say that, I'm his mother ~

7. Both Riveras wear makeup. They use black charcoal under their eyes to see better in the sun.

8. Male Rivera is terrified of crabs. And spiders. Absolutely horrified.

9. Female Rivera has a much dirtier mouth – she swears way more than the male version. The male version is more cultured/refined.

10. Female Rivera is extremely gluttonous. Like, extremely.

11. Both hate the cold – they're not used to it.

12. The temperament of both Riveras.

– Female Rivera can't sit still for long. She's restless. Staying home for too long is hard for her.

– Male Rivera, on the other hand, wants to settle down. He wants a peaceful life with a family.

13. Female Rivera drinks way more alcohol than the male version.

14. Flaws and weaknesses.

– Female Rivera's flaw : she's used to carrying everything on her own shoulders – she's used to being the "backbone" and the "father figure." She won't ask for help when she's struggling.

– Male Rivera's flaw : he's flaky. He's flighty, and he can hurt someone with a joke without realizing his words might cut deep. You can't really rely on him.

15. Talents and skills.

– Female Rivera makes good, tasty alcohol tinctures.

– Male Rivera can do the splits.

16. Physical traits.

– Due to HSR lore, female Rivera has a naturally high body temperature. She can literally be used as a heater.

– Male Rivera has sharp teeth. He filed them down himself out of pure dumb impulse – so now they're super sensitive. He can't eat hot, cold, or sweet things.
