I know even if bloodymary COULD have kids they'd chose not to for the many many reasons that all stem from the fact they live on Erid. Which is a shame because they'd be adorable dads. Although i see them more as dog dads or cat dads than deciding to have a baby even without those reasons

However i can absolutely see some eridians cloning and/or genetically engineering humans just for the science of it all

Several fics mention the blood ocean being human blood from multiple individuals... the eridians experimenting with this wealth of DNA and end up producing a whole colony of humans to study... would not help the zoo animal accusations but imagine hundreds of years in the future when Earth sends a manned mission to Erid and discover a whole settlement of humans already living amongst them

We are not utilizing the beach enough in bloodymary fic. I think Simon spent-his-life-on-a-space-station Iron Lung should love standing under the fake sun, love being outside in the fake wind, and love the feeling of real ground under his bare feet. I also think Simon should use this as a excuse to make Grace rub sunscreen on him. Simon develops a habit of suntanning either on the beach or on the porch, as well as doing anything sweaty without a shirt on. Ryland can you get my back? Ryland I need help i cant put it on my arm. Ryland why dont you come down to the beach and read with me, i'll lotion your back for you?

And Grace falls for it every damn time. He tries to help of course. Turned down the UV settings in the dome but Simon complained that it just wasnt the same. Asked the eridians to make a spray sunscreen and either Simon or a meddling Adrian said the experiment failed or Simon purposefully sprays it on wrong and renders it useless ("how did you miss the tops of your shoulders so bad?" "You try spraying your back with one slippery hand")

And you know Simon is super methodical when he applies Grace's. Takes his time rubbing it on. Makes sure he gets everywhere including under the waistband and around the sides. Grace always beats him to the front though... Simon sometimes puts extra on Grace's cheeks if he's blushing just to tease him ("you're already turning red")

And you know Grace would be absolutely deceased in a fem!Simon au. She'd make Grace tie her swimsuit top on every time. And you have to put sunscreen under the straps because if they move you burn there. So you have to get your hand under the straps. Idk if she'd go skimpy but she'd certainly go stringy just so she could use the excuse of only having one arm to get Grace to tie it for her

The best part is: is Simon using this sunscreen ritual as a flirting technique or simply as a excuse to feel platonic touch and intimacy? Both are fantastic and can be utilized either way

Drunk Grace starts imagining a bracelet like thing instead that he can attach to his prosthetic lol, Simon doesnt see the big deal (he legit only has one option unless he wants to wear it on his neck, and besides plenty of countries wear the wedding ring on the right hand), in the end when they hold hands for the first time back to the hotel still drunk Grace keeps tapping his ring against Simon's where they overlap and giggling

Now im imagining them with Grace sitting in Simon's lap, Simon's single hand either rubbing the skin under the hem of his shirt or just straight up resting it on his ass, Grace with one arm thrown around Simon's neck for balance (and hugging purposes) while his other one holds a margarita that they're both taking turns drinking from, as they yap away

all this talk about Grace as a sacrifice. FINE. fantasy fic where the kingdom is out of options and starts sacrificing humans to the invading dragon. Grace refuses but is tied up and sent anyways. The dragon was a man named Simon whos been cursed into this mutated form. He sticks to the night and steals to survive. He holes up in a remote cave and accidentally intimidates a kingdom into giving him offerings so he just keeps doing that.
