ABANDONED BY HARD ROCK PARK

I read somewhere that he really wanted to make less explicit, more 20s-40s style horror movies and had some studio plans in the works that never went anywhere. I wish I had the article about it, because it’s the kind of thing I wish he’d focus on more vs slapping his face on products. Ever since I saw the original 40s Cat People, I’ve had this Gene-adjacent character meant to fill that desire for myself…which sadly also hasn’t gone much of anywhere (for various reasons that may resolve soon)

despite having a wildly different background on paper. Though both of my parents were poor at some point and do a lot of the things he does. They’re just better with money stuff than me because I’ve never had to seriously worry. I just feel bad for wasting visible things (wasted potential like missing out on investments is nothing though)

I can’t possibly explain it out loud, but turns out there’s a reason why my tastes are so cartoonishly dated. There is a real need for 30 year old boomers. And I still have four years to even reach THAT point, I’m ahead of the curve!

Happy to say that I turned to Philadelphia as a compromise and love it even more. I think I was REALLY meant to stay here. It’s not too far from NYC by train anyways.
