Update on the truck home. Put in the flashing counter space outside the kitchen cabinet, flashed the threshold (had to make my own brake) and started the flooring. Things are finally squared up! I’ll be rebuilding the rack to accommodate that sweet roof pod that I got off Craigslist for only 50 BUCKS! can’t wait to complete the floor and start building out the sleeves. I have two 100w mono solar panels in the mail with a controller and 2000W pure sine inverter. Update on the cap I’m turning into a camper (then living in for a year and a half...): Had to cut the floor down to get it to fit in the bed but she’s in there now and it should work just fine. My hot knife came in the mail! So I started insulating with the psx foam. The “kitchen” faux wood didn’t stick so I just went with shelf liner. Look spanking new now. Now I have to finish the subfloor, build the right hand shelving unit, outfit it with lights, wire it for power (getting a boat solar kit), and oh yeah! Attach the cap somehow! My kitchen before and after a coat of Rustolium. Had that old linoleum faux wood in the basement. Since we are selling the house wasn’t sure what to do with it. I found the perfect use! I wanted to line the shelves with something. Pots, pans, and my oven would likely scratch the paint. I also wanted something easy to clean as there WILL be food in there. I’m building a summer home! 😁 I’m going to be working in the field this summer (god willing) and I found this work cap for a fair price and decided that EVEN THOUGH it’s too small for my bed I’m going to make it work. The side cabinet will act as my kitchen: food storage, space for my Coleman, cast irons, cups plates and silverware. To fix the size disparity I’ll be making the space between the kitchen cabinet and the side of the truck (8”) a counter for prepping (messing with the idea of making it a big long cutting board.. 🤔) and cooking food. There are a few weird spots that I’ll have to figure out but I have to e vision for it and stay tuned! It’s going to fly together. It’s legit day 1 and I have the floor framed! 01/07/2021 - Washington — I hadn’t been up Washington in seven years! Really great to get back up there. Especially with an under cast that let Monroe peek out. The we kept good pace and by the top where it was virtually windless and with the sun out it was (in my opinion) actually kind of warm. 45/48x5 - 02/21/2021 - Over to Waumbek Snow pack was fine for bear-booting. On Waumbek the view was pretty great. Matt tipped a limb with about 40lbs of snow on me when nobody was looking and the rest of the hike was just annoying grab ass tit-for-tat. December 31st 2018 - Tecumseh/Adams/Madison—————We got a group together for New Years. Great overnight at Crag and minor nonsense aside it was a great day! Headed back over Abigail.

Dialed my sleeping pad, shelter, tub bottom/serenity net down to 1.28lbs —— Zpack’s - Pocket Tarp Six Moon Design’s - Serenity Net Thermarest - Uberlite short pad. ———- This of doesnt include the stakes for the tent and obviously the poles are just my trekking poles. It’s a small footprint sleep kit, but I hope to be cowboying as much as possible. January 30/31st 2021 Annual Winter Bonds Overnight w/ BK Down Zealand Road, up Hale Brook, broke out Lend-a-Hand, and Twinway from Zeacliff on. Hovering around 0 made this one sketchy for sure. Most of my overnights are usually in the teens. Sounds silly but the difference is stark. We thought we might have to set up tents to spare toes but pushed through. Got a bleb on my big toe. Very superficial. Had to breakout the trail to Guyot. Great night in the shelter. Always fun to be out with BK. 
1/31 was a BLUEBIRD day. We awoke to a pristine balmy 8°s sunrise. We took longer in the bond summits than I ever have. Probably an hour on Bondcliff before the long slog to my truck at Lincoln woods. 24ish miles all around. Next year’s hike is hopefully a three day December Pemi trip!
