📶 – :: Instantly the male’s eyes took in the single most easing factor that could have slowed his racing heart at that moment, the surge of panic in him settled and there was a slight momentary hesitation in him that had to reason that she had truly ben there, of course she was- she had been holding his hand? he looked between her and the gesture of concern and brought his free hand to his head, wincing and taking the much needed breath to calm himself “y-yeah…” clear eyes took in the room again and would come to fix on Hikari again, this time a slight smile “Yes i’m okay-”
There he was; now in this room and being tended to by the very person he’d only just met not even- how long had it been now? how long was he out for? seeing her genuine concern he had to figure it had been at least a few hours but time was always funny in the Digital World, then he began to move and sidle himself aside and off the corner of the bed, enough to just sit there and contemplate what had happened.
“You stayed? the whole time?” … “Thank you- i don’t know how to really- you know” repay her? yeah he was still getting used to the fact that she had been there all this time, he knew he should have listened to her before- when she had told him to run but “i’m sorry, i know i should have listened to you but i couldn’t just leave you there against that digimon alone- if anything had happened and i could have helped it…” he felt like he had been beating that horse for a while, it was why he’d always been alone- but now seeing her right there; he started to feel as if maybe he might have been the cause of so many things, maybe if he hadn’t been so stubborn-
“…Ah- t-thank you i’m really fine though, i was able to recover thanks to that nap- hah…hahah” the embarrassment in his features had shown, the boy reddened a bit, he wasn’t trying to be shy about the situation but he also wasn’t too happy knowing he’d left her to fend for herself “what…happened after i passed out? is- are we safe for now?”
“Idiot.” she muttered with a stern look but it soon softened to a relieved small smile. He worried her so much, she really thought he wouldn’t wake up anymore. He had been out for a few hours that she even had to force their partners to go to sleep so they could rest up a bit too, assuring them that she was going to stay up and watch over the boy.
She sighed softly, happy that he finally woke up from his long slumber but when he asked her about what had occurred after he passed out.. for some reason she couldn’t answer. It was as if the first few minutes were erased out of her memories, she only remembered hearing Gatomon call for her. “We took you here.” she simply answered, not wanting to worry him too.
“Huckmon and Angewomon were able to push Belphemon into the hole so we were able to escape. Don’t worry, we are safe for now.”
For now. Ugh. It bothered her that they couldn’t fight the beast on their own and that they had to face it again sooner or later if they wanted or not.
“Of course I stayed and you don’t have to thank me, not for this.. i’m sure you would have done the same for me.” she smiled and slowly let go of his hand. “Its late, you should go back to sleep the others are sound asleep too in the other room.”
