Rise Early, Steal More (Hiatus)

What an imposing looking woman. Was she here to sniff him out, perhaps, see if he was any trouble? She could simply be curious, but he had a small, nagging doubt that was the case here. Her emotions were too quiet, barricaded by a stone wall of composure; something he’d have to inspect further to understand its foundation.

Normally, he was pretty aware of his surroundings, but sometimes you manage to miss people who are a entire foot shorter than you. Especially when everyone’s feelings in one room all seemed to be rubbing up against you, cluttering your thoughts. The Med-X was starting to wear off.  

Blinking with some confusion, pulled out of his dazed thinking for the moment, the outlaw dropped his gaze, looking down at whoever had collided into him. He was almost thankful for the distraction, but he couldn’t resist a sardonic chuckle once he got a handle back on his own mind. 

This is Pareja (’couple, pair’), a once-wild 'radmule/molly' with some chimeric effects to their genetic make-up, ranging from their appearance to their sex. One head seems distinctly jack-esque, while the other is molly-esque. Both of the right sides of their heads has all but come off in concerns to their skin, while the other side seems to be in-tact, though there are still many areas of necrosis, leaving the flesh leathery and hairless in spots.

His eyebrows bounce up a fraction, feigning surprise. “Hey now, I’m only just sitting here.” So much for trying to see if she wanted work or need work done; she was already kicking him to the curb before he had a chance to say anything. 

“I’m going to guess someone is watching us nearby. Okay, well, we should act very natural, like we’re not going to take–” 

He pauses mid-sentence as the shopkeeper reappears in the room. Smiling pleasantly now, Santiago places the jewelry onto the counter top, instead of into his pockets where he was hoping to put it. For good measure, though perhaps at the risk of his physical well-being later, he throws an arm around Holly, hugging her into his side.
