High School Romance Chapter 7 - The End

And just like that, we’ve reached the end.

High School Romance is a project I have been working on and off for about 6 years now, and to think that I’ve finally finished it, feels super weird. Though in reality I’m not quite 100% done with it. I am now working hard putting everything  together for the graphic novel, which I’ll be doing a Kickstarter for. So if you want a physical collected edition of High School Romance with some great bonus content, please keep an eye out for that. But in terms of the story I wanted to tell, High School Romance has reached its conclusion. And I sincerely hope you enjoyed the ride.

So I guess what you might be wondering is “What’s next?”. Well, I will be moving on from Mt Taylor High, so that means I won’t be working on a sequel or spin-off. What I will be moving on to however is Xero: King of Thieves. That might sound familiar to you, it was the short story I had published in the digital manga anthology magazine Saturday AM #74 last year. And I am happy to announce that Xero has been picked up by the magazine and starting later this year it will become a regular ongoing in Saturday AM. I have so many plans for Xero and am so excited to work on this project. It feels great to finally have backing and push from a publisher like Saturday AM.

But with that, I just want to say a big thank you to you. Whether you discovered High School Romance in 2012 at a comic con in Australia, or more recently as a webcomic. You mean the world to me. Thank you for giving me the motivation to reach this point. Making comics is hard, time consuming and lonely. I won’t lie there were countless times I wanted to give up because it was too hard, but because of you I found the motivation to get back to my desk and draw.

So thank you.
