âGET TO KNOW MEâĄ: [11/?] Favorite Characters
LOKI - Marvel Cinematic Universe (2011-2023)
- I don't enjoy hurting people. I... I don't enjoy it. I do it because I have to- because I've had to. -Okay, explain that to me. -Because it's part of the illusion. It's the cruel, elaborate trick conjured by the weak to inspire fear. -A desperate play for control. You do know yourself. -A villain. -That's not how I see it.

I'm guessing that they're getting good responses at test screenings for "Life of Chuck" if they're already going this hard on the publicity 6 weeks out. đ¤
The two reviews that have been posted so far have been quite good - both positive, bumped the RT score up by 1%. There have been other critics who have given their SM comments, but not a full review yet.

One more trip down pink confetti lane
Itâs been a big year for the Jamie Lloyd Company
The Jamie Lloyd Companyâs production of Much Ado About Nothing, which recently completed its sold-out run at Theatre Royal Drury Lane, set a new box office record for a play in the West End.
Starring Tom Hiddleston and Hayley Atwell, and directed by Jamie Lloyd, the production concluded with the five highest grossing weeks for a play in West End history, with the final week achieving the highest box office figures to date. This follows the companyâs production of Romeo and Juliet, which became the highest grossing production in the history of the Duke of Yorkâs Theatre.
You can read our glowing review of Much Ado About Nothing here.
The production marks the end of the Jamie Lloyd Companyâs first year as an independent production company. In the past year, its productions â The Effect, Romeo and Juliet, Sunset Boulevard, The Tempest and Much Ado About Nothing â have been seen by over 600,000 people across London and New York. More than a third of all tickets sold for these productions were priced at ÂŁ45 or less.
The company has maintained its commitment to accessibility through the continued provision of £25 tickets across each level of the theatre, available exclusively to under-30s, key workers and those receiving government benefits. For Romeo and Juliet, 5,000 seats were reserved under this initiative, and 25,000 seats were made available for the Shakespeare season at Theatre Royal Drury Lane. Of the customers who bought tickets through LW Theatres during the Shakespeare season, 78 per cent were first-time bookers.
The companyâs production of Sunset Boulevard continues to run on Broadway, while in the West End this summer, Lloyd Webber Harrison Musicals and the Jamie Lloyd Companyâs production of Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd Webberâs Evita will open at The London Palladium. Starring Rachel Zegler and Diego Andres Rodriguez, the production will run from 14 June to 6 September, with 5000 tickets priced at ÂŁ25 available across the run and on all levels of the theatre for under 30s, key workers and those receiving government benefits. Further information and on-sale dates for these tickets will be announced.
New âThe Life of Chuckâ Image Puts Joy and Hope Back Into Our Cold, Dead Hearts [Exclusive]
Despite the mundane, frustrating, and even downright dismal days, the magnificent beauty of life canât be understated. This year, audiences are invited to tag along for a ride through the (extra)ordinary in Mike Flanaganâs (The Haunting of Hill House) The Life of Chuck. Adapted by Flanagan from Stephen Kingâs 2020 novella If It Bleeds, the movie celebrates human connection and explores the impactful ripple effect that one person can have on the lives of many others. Today, as part of Colliderâs Exclusive Preview event, weâre beyond excited to show off an exclusive sneak peek of the Tom Hiddleston-led feature that promises to inspire audiences and restore some faith in humanity.
The image showcases a moment shared between the characters played by Chiwetel Ejiofor (12 Years a Slave) and Violet McGraw (M3GAN). We know that the former will appear as Marty Anderson, who viewers will meet shortly after the movie begins. A schoolteacher by trade, Marty is doing his best to save the youth of America by opening their minds to a world beyond the internet. In the photo, we see the two characters standing and chatting under the night sky. Judging by their expressions, the conversation seems a bit tense, but how could it not be with the entirety of society collapsing around them?
With movies like Doctor Sleep and Hush under his belt, as well as a handful of Netflix series like The Haunting of Bly Manor and Midnight Mass, Flanagan has been a standout visionary in the horror world for years. Likewise, Kingâs name is synonymous with the genre, considered by many to be the greatest horror author of all time. Yet, The Life of Chuck takes a step back from what both creatives are known for, and delves into a deeper and more existential narrative.
Starring Hiddleston in the titular role, the film will pick up at the end of Chuck Krantzâs life where he begins to tell his story backwards. As the events of his timeline unravel before audiencesâ eyes, the truth about just how many lives Chuck was able to positively affect comes to light. So, donât expect jump scares with this one, but instead plan on bringing some tissues and leaving the theater with a renewed sense of wonderment.
The Star-Studded Cast Behind âThe Life of Chuckâ
Just as Chuck Krantz finds his own light shining alongside the cosmos, the cast behind The Life of Chuck is overflowing with some of Hollywoodâs brightest talent. Starring alongside Hiddleston as the younger versions of his character are Jacob Tremblay (The Predator) and Benjamin Pajak (Playdate), while the ensemble includes stunning performances from the likes of Mark Hamill (the Star Wars franchise), Karen Gillan (Oculus), Mia Sara (Ferris Buellerâs Day Off), Kate Siegel (Midnight Mass), Matthew Lillard (Five Nights at Freddyâs), and more, with Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), putting his soothing vocal tone to good use as the filmâs narrator.
Already off to an incredibly promising start, Flanaganâs third feature-length collaboration with King had the crowd on their feet following its premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival last year. It went on to earn the eventâs prestigious Peopleâs Choice Award and is wonderfully situated on Rotten Tomatoes with an 86% criticsâ rating ahead of its June 6 release date courtesy of Neon.

TEAR SHEETS: "THE LIFE OF CHUCK"
Back in the earlier days of my career (and still to this day) one of the things I enjoyed after an assignment or project was seeing what kind of âplayâ my photos would receive. Where were they used? How large were they printed? Itâs not always an indication of how well you did on the assignment but itâs great when your images can get in front of as many eyeballs as possible (in both digital and print).
A few weeks ago the latest promotional poster for âLife of Chuckâ was released by Neon and it features one of my unit stills of actor Tom Hiddleston dancing. Â It can be the front page of a newspaper or the post for a film, but I always get a thrill from seeing my photography out in the wild.
I canât go into to much detail about the project till after the film is released, but you can read more about if you go back to my first blog post. The filmâs trailer was also recently released and everyone can check out the film, based on a story by Stephen King and directed by Mike Flanagan, this June in theaters.
