I didn't even end up sleeping on the morning of the exam. I stayed up and I had my guitar, messing around and writing a piece of music. I reached a mental roadblock and left it aside, incomplete.
The day I went out with Miss Tea, I brought this with me, kept it in a notebook and upon talking about music I showed her the piece. After spending the day with her, I felt good, my mental roadblock was gone and I finished the piece. She plays piano but as with many people, she's tough on herself when it comes to her skill. She knew enough about music to throw me a few ideas so I guess this is the result of both of our efforts. I had no idea what to call it so I let her take this one. Miss Tea calls it Food and Procrastination.
Discovering Miss Tea
A new Max Brenner had opened on campus so Miss Tea and I headed there to escape the morning cold. Upon walking inside, it felt as if we had walked out of a stinging blizzard and opened the door of a cozy, toasty cabin. The look on her face had told me, this was a good place to have chosen.
I thought that I'd be the one rambling on and talking her ear off but instead after our drinks arrived, she was the one who was rambling on. She wanted to know what I studied, what food I like, what I like to do for fun, who my friends were...But I didn't mind, I was on a spontaneous date with arguably the cutest girl in my tutorial, sitting in a toasty warm cabin drinking my toasty warm latte sharing this moment with her. It just felt...good.
We decided to head to the city since we both had to meet up with our own friends. We walked around the city, showing each other where the good places to eat were (she's a food blogger) and where we liked to hang out. We showed each other where we used to work and introduced each other to old workmates then walked around some more. We had completely lost ourselves because both of us had missed calls and unread messages: we had stood up our friends. And that's how 5 hours passed in a single moment.
We parted ways after promises of future food dates and hangouts. We've only really spent a short amount of time together, we already know so much about each other although, I feel I'm only just starting to scratch the surface, of discovering Miss Tea.
Miss Tea
I had known of Miss Tea since the start of the semester but it was only until yesterday when I pulled my head out of the clouds and finally spoke to her. I wasn't going to be continuing with media studies which made me realise that the chances of seeing her after this semester were slim.
I saw her along with the rest of our tutorial group outside of the exam room before our test and we had all decided to wait for each other after it was all over to celebrate. Miss Tea and I finished early so we spoke properly for the first time. The pesky old examiner lady kicked us out of the building so I asked her if she wanted to grab some coffee, completely forgetting about the promise we had made to the rest of our class. Surprisingly enough it seemed that she had forgotten as well.
-Yeah that'd be great. I want to know more about you...

This is something that I have been co-transcribing with a friend for a long time (All of her hard work!). I hope that you can figure out where it's from! Yes, it's one solo guitar :O This song is in my favourite Key of G Major. I really like the sound of G because I find it easy to communicate many types of emotions in G. Whenever I pick up my guitar, most of the time I'll just find my hands in G major. I like the way this song turned out because it's like a story. For me when I listen to this, in the introduction I just feel like closing my eyes and think about the good memories. But I felt that if I kept the song slow and relaxing, we wouldn't be progressing anywhere. Later on I increased the frequency of the bass notes to create the illusion of an increasing tempo (even though the tempo never actually changes). In this part, it feels like a motivational song haha. I don't know, it's just the feeling I get. Then further on, I just added non-stop strumming, an attempt to further "progress". I guess the main idea behind 覚えていますか (Do You Remember?) is being able to remember and relive a good memory :)
I ask you to turn on the TV and see How many people are bravely walking on, continuing life Shouldn't we be content with what we have? Cherishing everything even though we don't own it?
