Your credit cards are paid off. You and your friends have 2 international trips planned and paid for this year. Your parents are in great health and you’re able to help if they need anything. You love your job. Your desired creative career is falling into place and you get to take your little cousins to Six Flags and Universal Studios over the Summer. Your relationships are healthy and supportive. All of the toxic energy from the past 6 years is gone. You going to concerts, eating good across the states and your crib has art and warmth throughout. 2018 is going to be so good to you.

this shit isn’t “family”. it’s all bullshit. living altogether in one house doesn’t mean shit. only a handful of friends i can consider family more than the people i live with. attempting to become family-oriented only goes so far. being blood only goes so far. different beliefs. different attitudes. different ways to go about life. i want a family that likes to go out to eat with each other. i want a family that likes to have a game night or a family night. i want a family that actually likes being in the same room with another for a long period of time. eventually i’ll have the family that i’ve always wanted and i’ll never leave my children thinking that they don’t have a family.
